Another thing to watch beside the grove alignment is the overall diameter. I have had water pump pulley & crank pulley clearance troubles, they actually rubbed. Probably from me trying to use parts that didn't fit.

Re: Pulley issues adding power a steering kit.
I can't help, as of yet, but I have dealt with pulley misalignment issues in the past on a big block car. One thing I became aware of was A/C equipped engines used a totally different configuration (and alignment) of pulleys than non-A/C equipped engines. Seems like there was no interchange, you had...

Re: Dual pot master conversion
I have seen blocks with 2 lines going in (1 from front of MC reservoir & 1 from rear of MC) & 3 lines going out (1 to left front, 1 to right front, 1 to rear that splits at rear axle). They work just as PwrWgnDrvr mentioned.

Re: Big block bell
Those were same from 1969 until the end of big block production 78/79. You used to could pick on up for about $225. Now I wouldn't be surprised if one cost a grand.

Re: Big block bell
Yes. The older style is thicker at the flange where it bolts to the block, requiring bolts that are about 3" long. Also it has a boss on the passenger's side for the slave cylinder to bolt to & the "window" for the clutch fork is on that side. The later (69-up) bellhousing that goes with the 143-too...

3/4 rear parts stayed closely the same for about 40 years & the Dana 60 rear was very common.

Re: Studebaker guy, new to the forum
welcome!
I wasn't aware that Studebaker shared anything with Dodges, learned something new. Dodge used the Dana 60 rear until 1993 I believe.
I'm Dodge guy but am growing fond of the International Harvester trucks.
wish I could help you find what you need.

Re: 5 speed- and well.... speed.
In 1965 when this truck was new, a great deal of rural roads were still gravel/dirt. Trucks were used as trucks & not for zipping down the 6 lane freeways at 80 mph like today. People spent less time behind the wheel & gas was cheaper. Noise, mileage, lack of speed & less comfort wasn't so much noti...

Re: 9.25" axle swap
Yes, the difference between 63 & 65.5-up is the parking brake location & those tapered splines. Spring location & overall axle width should be the same.

Re: To buy or Not to buy
There was a time when these ol Dodges were just considered beaters & went for about $800-1000. But Mecum/Barrett-Jackson syndrome along with the supply chain COVID era drove prices up. But Dodge Sweptlines never got the following of the Chevy C10 & Ford F series trucks. Flat Fender Power Wagons (46-...

Good buy as long as you aren't trying to "flip" it or make some kind of big gain on it.
Assuming it has title, hasn't sat for decades & isn't missing a bunch of parts or damaged significantly. It probably won't make a great daily driver.

Re: 1966 D200 Drums needed
I am finding plenty of videos & articles showing that removing the 8 lug studs from the hub will allow the drum to be separated from the hub. But I can't say as to if this applies specifically to your 66 D200 Dana 60 rear. I haven't looked for information on the fronts yet. I have found new drums fo...

Re: 1966 D200 Drums needed
One of the areas of difference (besides brake drum size) in Dana 60 rear axles is housing width, which is determined by the vehicle it came out of. Same for axle shafts which are determined by the housing width. So, the question becomes, do you find an axle exact enough as yours to interchange parts...

Re: How critical is THIS ground wire?
My love for Mopars began when I was a toddler & my uncle Bob had a new 1969 RR coupe that he bought after returning from Germany & getting out of the service. It was the lone car in a sea of Chevrolet pick-ups that everyone in mom's family (6 brothers) drove. I never forgot those slot wheels, the ch...

Thanks soopernaut. I knew 4wd had drums in 74, wasn't sure on 2wd.
I too think that the change in IFS in 1972 would eliminate anything from that year on from working on his front.

Re: How critical is THIS ground wire?
I thought it might be the ground for the condenser, but now I don't think so. If it runs fine like it is I wouldn't worry about correcting it.
