Re: Crown Victoria Front Suspension,Anyone Done it?

Yes, I've done it. I have a full album of the process documented on Facebook. Look up the "Slammed Sweptlines" group.

Re: Rust removal using electrolysis

I've used the electrolysis process several times with fantastic results. I submerse the part in a large plastic tote full of water, leaving a small area above the water line. I attach a negative lead of a battery charger to that exposed area. I place a piece of scrap metal next to the part, again wi...

Re: IFS versus stock...

I'm currently installing a Crown Vic IFS into my 1969 Fargo 100 Sweptline. I'll be posting a thread here soonly about the entire process, and how it can be done.

Re: Alberta, Canada - New Guy with New Truck

Hey! That's exactly what I did as well! I found a 1969 Sweptline in a farmer's yard, advertised for parts on Kijiji.ca I drove out from New Brunswick to get it, but lucked out as it cost me only $200!! Mine is a 6 cylinder/auto truck...soon to get a 383. Here's a pic of mine after unloading it off t...

Re: Longbed into a Shortbed

I made this illustration using an image I found on this forum, along with a photo of a shortbox that I own.
I overlaid the images, based on the wheelhouse similarities.
This actually depicts the physical differences between the regular long box and the short box.

Re: the '71 is headed towards canada

Like I said, there's a multitude of Sweptlines to be found, you have to get off the beaten path. Here's my latest purchase...for $200. 1969 Fargo with a six cylinder and automatic, one owner too. It sat in the farmer's back yard for 28 years, neglected. In fact, the box filled up with sod that had b...

Re: Ever heard of the ScatPacker show truck?

Cruising through a thread on http://www.yellowbullet.com I came across a shot of a Mr.Norm dragster at the starting line.
Wouldn't you know it, there's the Scat Packer right there in the background!

I'm now thinking that maybe Mr. Norm had something to do with this truck??

Re: steering conversion

Since this topic was bumped, I just read through it and thought I'd add a bit more information... I'd considered adding the Toyota LE rack and pinion to my Deora (A108) straight axle. This set-up seems like a fairly good idea, and the Toyota also provides a 90-degree gearbox to change the steering i...
