Re: Starter Help
Haha yeah, just by a few hours though! I had a buddy helping me try to tear down the starter with no success. So we went to O'Reilly's and the guy insisted that I didnt know what I was talking about and that I had a gear reduction starter. I explained to him the gear was attatched directly to the ar...

Re: Starter Help
Added a 1/2" spacer between the starter and the bellhousing. I kicked out the bendix and checked for teeth engagement. There was no excessive slack, nor was it overly tight. The teeth seemed to fit just fine with eachother. Also, I cut the throwout fork, and made it so that it it was about 1/2" more...

Starter Help
Its been awhile since Ive been on, I know. My computer messed up, and havent had much internet access. So heres whats been going on... The engine that was in the Power Wagon was seized. I tore it down, and all the cylinders were rusted. Ohhh, but it supposedly ran... my butt... Anyway, the 90 318 th...

Re: Lift springs for the sweptlines?
I know my 66's springs measure the same length as the later model springs. One thing I did notice though was that the front eye is upside down. The bushing eye sits under the spring. I personally think that replacing the main leaf with one that has both of the bushing eyes above the rest of the spri...

Re: Body type?
Nevermind. Found the titles to all of my other trucks, and they are all listed as "PK" under body type. I dont know if this is just an Oklahoma thing or what. But thanks anyway.

Re: Lift springs for the sweptlines?
Okay, well, that might have been an assumption. Also, I thought I read that the 73 3/4-ton's had 4 or 5 leafs in the front pack, but I now read 6. My 3/4-ton has 7, but they could also be thinner. The thickness of leafs is not listed.

Re: Lift springs for the sweptlines?
I know this is an old topic, but I got around to measuring my front springs, and compared them to other Dodge front springs, and theyre the same dimensions. BUT being as that our Power Wagons are so heavy, I can understand a 6" lift spring for a 73-93 truck not netting you as much lift on a Power Wa...

Body type?
I paid the last little bit on my W200 last week, and got the owner to sign the bill of sale. I got everything filled out but the "body type". I got it notorized no problem, but I dont want to send it in blank. What does everybody else's title say? Oh, and I know this truck used to be a sweptline cau...

Re: Wife says sale the Sweptline
Yeah, dont quite know the women-to-sweptline ratio in your area, but round here, my wife knows not to put herself between me and one of my trucks. Even though the Sweptline is one of the least rare amongst my trucks.

Re: How NOT to start a Thursday...
Nah, the big ones that are on top of the pile were styrofoam lunch trays, the ones on the bottom were paked with 6 each of #10 cans filled with assorted fruit, and the white boxes with red writing are sporkette kits. That was the main problem. Too heavy on the one side. I tried to slowly make the t...

Re: Proud Owner
Yeah, I would definitely check fluids. And if it does leak, just glue a bunch of maxi-pads to a piece of cardboard and ziptie it up under your engine and tranny.

Check this truck's steering out. Looks like it has 70's or 80's model power steering.

Why couldnt a person just go with SUA, or manage to somehow make the rest of the axle lower than the steering knuckles?

Ive got a bench seat with fold-down center console out of a late 90's Ram, but havent chopped down the mounts yet. Just check out my profile and look at the list of the posts made by me.
