looking at buckys pictures it looks like the location of the drivers side fork window is in a different loation. mine is kinda more on the topside of the bell. interesting but I imagine everything will bolt up to the 440.

thanks for the replies, i ended up buying a 4160 series holley so i will try my luck at that. i have an edelbrock on my other truck that i scored at a pick n pull for $10 and it always seems to have drivability problems, but i dont drive it that often. every carb has its quirks.

as far as i know the only thing that must be tightened with the full truck weight on is the rubber spring eye bushings. you want them torqued in the position at rest and the leaf springs not flexed out. this holds true for any rubber bushing other wise they may stretch and tear when you let the truc...
