Re: Fuel sending unit wiring
The sending unit wiring in your truck should look similar to the attached photo. It's a 1 wire hookem up.

Re: 426 Wedge install
I want to install a 426 Wedge motor in my 65. Does anyone know if the big cast iron ram horn exhaust manifolds that go up and back down used in Wedge cars from 62-64 clear on drivers side? Has anyone seen this done? Thanks! http://www.sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4634 426 ram manifolds.jpg

Re: Photos of your truck being a truck
Great info, anyone know where I can get one or have a custom one made? Since I changed my gears my high side is out. The adaptors are all the same for all the different ratio's combo's. They are normally spring loaded held in the high range gear and electrically shifted to the low range. You can te...

She's a D-400, so she's a 1.5 ton with a 318 cu in LA 4 speed NP435 transmission with 2 speed rear end ( was a 13802 center section but changed it to 15040) for highway speed. She's 6.29 on the low side and 8.75 on the hi side. How do they do manage the speedometer on a truck with a 2-speed rear en...

Re: Gauge wiring
I don't have any pic, but maybe can help with what wires goes to each device. For the speedo: black wire for the instrument light, orange for the high beam indicator. For the tach: black wire for the instrument light, white for the tach sender from coil. The + on the tach would come from a key on so...

Keep in mind, the turn signal flasher works with ignition key on only. Brake and 4-way hot all times.

I'm surprised, more commonly would be the brake pedal hanging low causing dead battery, brake pedal switch is hot at all times.

Re: Alternator wiring
Ahhhh. So I thought that Dodge used the ACC terminal on the Ignition switch to provide direct power to the wiper switch, switched side of fuse block, fuel gauge and possibly the heater fan motor? The heater goes through the switched side of fuse block, as well as the turn signal flasher, horn, and ...

Either way I need to figure out what those are. Obviously the old switch has: ACC: wiper switch, switched side of fuse block, fuel gauge ST: starter relay IGN1: ballast resistor "run" side IGN2: ballast resistor "start" side BAT: battery feed in G: low pressure brake sender/ indicator lamp The wiri...

Re: distributor wiring
Need help understanding how the Neutral Safety Switch works and how to wire into new relay. My understanding is that the NSS breaks the connection between the ignition switch and the starter. no, that would burn out the safety switch. The neutral safety switch breaks the circuit of the coil inside ...

Re: Screw clip Heater Controls
Before ordering, check the number on your cage nut if visible. The number indicates the thickness of the panel that your inserting the nut into. For example, the .028"-.056" fits 20 awg - 16 awg metal. The .093"- .126" would be for heavier metal like large enclosures. The size of the bolt is listed ...
