Re: 1961-1964 Trim clips

Hey.... I ended up going to my local Auto trim/paint distributor with a good reputation and got clips that would hold the trim but had slightly larger bed side clip... I just enlarged every hole ever so slightly and it has worked well. I did have to take a pair of pliers and pull the bed side clip t...

Re: Push button stuck in "D"

Good news... the problem is not in the box part of the shifter and all the pieces are now shinny and washed..... the bad news, the problem is behind the dash and short of tearing out the most of the interior I can't get my fat shoulders under the dash to get a good look... darn. I need to find an ex...

Re: Push button stuck in "D"

Thanks all. I am going to open her up tomorrow. Mine is the standard truck version in the protruding box left of the steering column. I figure that just a cleaning should be what she needs. [img][img]

Re: Push button stuck in "D"

Thanks Conrad alas I have the old style Tranny and the cable goes into to the transmission for gear changes. I think it is in the little box and before I tear into it I would appreciate some more guidance as it looks pretty confusing from the pics I have seen on line.

Push button stuck in "D"

Good morning all.
I need some help. My 64 D-100 Poly and push button auto is stuck in "D". I banged on the box to try and jar it loose but it will not go in either R or N. Suggestions before I try and find an old timer at one of the local Tranny shops?
Thanks

The part the inside door handle attaches to?

Hey all.

What is the part called that the chrome pull handle attaches too (61-64)? The splined shaft on mine is just roached and I am using a vicegrip for a handle. Where can I buy the shaft or whole mechanism for both doors for?

Thanks

Steering wheel option 1964

Sorry if this is a duplicate. I am looking for alternatives to the stock steering wheel in my 1964. I understand that I "maybe" able to bolt on a sport wheel from an early 70's Mopar but I am not sure. Does anyone know what might directly bolt up out of something in the late 40's to the early 70's t...

1961-1964 Trim clips

Hey all. After 20 years I just got my bed repainted/rubber floor and started to install my stainless bed trim.... turns out the clips I have work (tightly) on the hood and body but are too large for the holes in the bed. Does anyone have a source or part number for the clips on the 1961-1964 Trim pa...

DTA headers or options for Poly 318

Hey all. The old truck is finally running better (the mopar performance distributor was bad out of the box in 1997) and I have been chasing it off and on since then :-( So, now that I am ready for headers I can't find any contact info for DTA. Are they still around and/or does anyone have a new solu...

Source for Manual Steering Box

Hey all. Does anyone have a good source for a replacement steering box for my 1964 D100? Just got my brake drums from RockAuto and am not happy with their service and pricing (changed cost up by $12 ea and took almost 4 weeks to get). Btw my box is stock and really a lot of unsafe play in it. Fully ...

Re: Best (cheap) Poly Headers update?

UPDATE: I bought a set of the shorty Hemi 331-354-392 headers off ebay.

Excellent Headers, thick flanges and real nice welding....

They will NOT WORK....

They are so far off in width that even if you cut them apart you can't push the shorty headers together far enough.

Re: Steering Wheel Options/Photo request please...

Same question by me. I have found some cool 40's, 50's, and 60's Mopar steering wheels that I would love to use. Does anyone know what will bolt up with out modifications from the Chrysler family?

Re: Anybody ever do anything custom about bumpers on their d

I got mine new for cheap through my local body shop (a friend). I used early 70's Ford F-100 front bumper and early 80's full size Dodge Van rear bumper for the back..

Re: Best (cheap) Poly Headers update?

Thanks, I have thought about that as well. I think I can get universal kits online for about $80. The good news is that my son is one heck of a welder but he is so busy that I don't want to impose if I don't have to.

Re: Best (cheap) Poly Headers update?

Thanks all. Mine is the 318A, the old fat heavy one. The DTA's look perfect but wow, almost a grand in ceramic plus shipping. I have even thought of trying to find some stock rear dump manifolds off a 57 or 58 Fury and have not found any yet. I am really keen on hearing anyone having tried the short...

Re: Best (cheap) Poly Headers update?

Interesting, I just spoke at length with a very nice guy down there and he said that they do not have a application for a wide block 318. They did have headers for 57-58 318 Plymouth's back in the dark ages and he said he would go look for what he could find in their museum and warehouse but nothing...

Re: Best (cheap) Poly Headers update?

Hey again, I was just at a local car event and one of the attendees suggested getting one of the Manzo Headers off ebay for a $150 to $199 and just drilling out their flanges to fit the bolt pattern of the Poly..... any ideas? Will that work?
