Re: White hat special
So I am considering painting the roof on my 65 power wagon. It’s a red truck, the wagon wheels are white and the bumpers are flat black. Questions are, do I go with black on the roof or white. Did dodge ever paint roofs white or black when the truck had small back window, and if so how much of it g...

Re: Hood options
Hello all, My question is regarding a front end swap. I have an opportunity to pickup a 65 front core support and grill assembly to change out a 69 front. I don't have a early hood just a 68 straight bottom lip one. Will the 65. Grill wings interfere with the hood bottom lip? Also how funky is a bi...

Have you looked at any Mopar Restoration Parts suppliers. Lots of common little parts were used for both cars and trucks.

Re: 1972 D500 front brake parts
The only 5 lug Budd that I am aware of are the D400 trucks & M400 motor homes. I could see the motor homes having front disc brakes. It being 5 lug probably means those specs I gave in my original post may be invalid. Square tube rear axle is Rockwell. Standard fare in medium dutys. Bucky I agree. ...

I have a 70 D500 and found all my brake parts at a Medium/Heavy Duty truck parts supplier. Dodge was not the only one to use those brake systems.

Re: Big Block Flywheel Question
I came at this from a slightly different angle This starter carries the same Chrysler p/n as the 2 bolt starter used in industrial big block applications. It is used in slant six fork lift applications If the picture is accurate it is a 2 bolt starter with a mounting configuration very similar to t...

Re: Tire/rims question
Stock looking 16 inch tubeless steel rims can be had from many sources. Stock hubcaps will fit.
The originals will be split ring or 16.5 rims. Neither of which are ideal.

Re: Electric Winch
A little winch story. I used to own a 71 Fargo W200 with PTO Winch. My 4x4 Club had gone into a site after we did a bypass road. End of the day the 10 trucks in group left. At the new bypass I winched my truck to first turn, Repositioned and winched next truck up. I then winched to next position up ...

Re: Horn Wire - Black Wire in Column
So its good to go at the roller grounded.
Does steering wheel have the contact ring.
Is it contacting the roller..
Wire comes through a hole to side of shaft and connects to horn switch in turn grounding through column when button depressed.
So whats missing. Pictures if you have no idea.

Re: Tail lights don’t work until warmed up?
On my 67 D100, my taillights don’t work when it is cold until I have driven a mile or two, of course with the cabin heater blowing. I think they come on immediately if it is warm enough. At first I thought the issue might be in the steering column turn signal switch area but I don’t know why the ta...
