Re: Project 71 Crewcab w 440 PS PB

HemiJoel it’s from the Boise area, so semi local to me now. I recall you from Mopars too. I’m still there on occasion but changed my user name long ago to RUMBLON as I should have here too. I sold the drag Cuda, retired almost five years ago and moved to Cambridge Idaho where 15 years ago I bought 1...

Project 71 Crewcab w 440 PS PB

I was searching for a Power wagon crew but this will do for now. This was originally a 383 truck but the original owners son had a 440 from a wrecked Superbee installed. I have a question. The original front seat is gone as the put in Lincoln continental seats Are front seats for the crew cabs speci...

Considering a crew cab purchase! Questions on value and idea

Ok i am considering buying this 65 crew power wagon. Waiting for the seller to get a title. Its originally a 318 4 speed rig. Been sitting since 1992. Seller says rust free and has house paint on it. Now has a running 413 in it since 1992 purchase by seller. Here is my question. I have been buying t...

Re: My tiny house build

Im not trying to hijack your thread but we think alike. IM much older just turning 56 last month but its the 'MORTGAGE FREE" thing I have been chasing for fifteen years. I HATED having a mortgage. We ate 300K in 2008 with the housing issues across the country and sold a 600K home for 250K in 2013 as...

What years later chassis are you guys Using for these rigs?

I bought this the other day with the intent of using it for parts down the road on a short bed build on a newer chassis. I own a 67 W200 short bed that has a 63 front clip and bed and I like it But I want something on a newer chassis as Im getting spoiled as I get older. I have a 50 dodge 5 window t...

How well do you think a sweptline short bed would fit this?

I have a non running 56 Dodge 4 door that a guy wants to trade for this. Eventually I want a short bed sweptline to semi go with my short bed power wagon swepty. Gy says this runs great. Was curious is this would be a decent donor for a short bed cab and bed?

Thoughts.

Re: Crew cab swaps on newer chassis? Looking for threads/ li

Even if you go with a carb'd truck, FiTech makes some awesome fuel injection kits. I put the dual set up on my Cuda and it runs so nice now http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd303/gyman98/1970%20Hemicuda/00C4F5B8-6688-4118-82DD-1F35737C937D.jpg What ever I do it will be on the cheap. Meaning what ...

Re: Crew cab swaps on newer chassis? Looking for threads/ li

Here are a couple that I can think of off the top of my head. Both Cummins swaps, but could easily be done as a gasser. Yes shortbed is 146. I have always been a true and blue carburetor guy, but now having a fuel injected 5.2 from a 2000 durango in my crewcab it will be hard to go back to a carb. ...

Re: Crew cab swaps on newer chassis? Looking for threads/ li

If I am correct the crewcab truck with shrt bed is 146 inch wheelbase.

And in checking a club cab dodge truck, say 1997 with a long bed is 154.7 inch wheelbase.

This looks to be the closest wheelbase in a cheaper truck for a conversion from what I am finding.
