Re: Gears, making the difference
I don't find a lot of difference from 3.23 to 3.55 and I usually prefer the 3.23 for fuel mileage highway burning at 70MPH plus. However going from 3.23 to 3.91 or 4.10 is a huge difference. I ran 4.56 in my Hemi Challenger in the 70's and that was a lot of fun on the street with the automatic. 1st...

Re: The True Great American pass time
Apparently everyone is financially stable, their are very few even complaining about the $4 a gallon gas, don't know where they are gettin money from, but I thing alot of the big whigs need charges brought against them, or maybe it isn't that they have money, mayber everyone is telling themselves so...

Re: HOT HEADS
Those 516's flow pretty good with bigger valves....not as bad as some people think.....I've seen a set run in the high 10's with only mild porting and bigger 67 exhaust valve. They can't be all that bad......I've seen flow numbers that are better than a 906 and I've seen test with worse flow number...

Re: Gears, making the difference
I think you'll really like the difference, as far as get up and going, when you need to move out, I'm thinking the 3:91's would be even better, just wouldn't be very effiecent driving long distance

Re: The True Great American pass time
It has come to my attention, that many here were probably born in the times that gas prices have been jacked up so high, you haven't been able to drive on long trips, cruise around for hours with your friends, and do it in a Muscle machine, coming to the stop lights and having brand x pull up beside...

Gears, making the difference
I can only say until you try changing them will you fully understand just what a difference they make, I went from 3:23's /440 to the 3:55's and passing gear will knock your head against the rear window, they aren't the perfect setup for my engine, for you still have a slow spot, however the differe...

Re: brand x engines in mopars
It can be annoying to see everything with a Chevy 350 in it. If you have the money to build a nice vehicle with no expenses spared I would think there would be many good engines to choose from. Now if you are a regular guy building a budget minded vehicle I can see using the 350 since it is a decen...

Re: brand x engines in mopars
Now if you have the funds and big movie company has, then why would you put chebby motor in charger like the on in fast and the furious? thats just a slap in the face!! in the world of vintage vehicles, theirs alot of "slaps in the face" notice how all "kits" have brand x parts in them somehow? the...

Re: King pins: 2 questions
Just to further explain, when your wheel is off the ground, put on hand on top of the tire, and the other hand on the bottom, this is the way to find the play in the just the kingpins, their shouldn't be any movement, how ever, small amount of play, could be the result of the missing tension bolt in...

The True Great American pass time
Building trucks is definetly fun, but you've got to get out every so often to enjoy why your working so hard. So taking the 440 out for some good ole fashing Cruising, the type cruise that is dying, from high gas prices, which is all killing of the great American past time: CRUISING, its been almost...

you got my attention I would be interested in your idea, to the point of wanting to know the blower information. I'm droping a slant 6 inot a 1954, Willy's, and I have one in the 65 D100 that I would consider this option for more power. what kind of blower is that?

You never can tell which truck he's going to drive! when he rolled up, me and kman1226 could not figure out who he was.
We're going to do it again in July, at http://www.quakersteakandlube.com/Westminster_CO/, maybe I can drive one in that hasn't been in public yet this time.
