Re: Cheap replacement rims for now

Original wheels likely to have been 16" diameter at 4.5" or 5" wide.

Many Jeeps also used the 5x4.5" bolt pattern, watch the backspacing, some are too close when used on front.

Re: What kind of engine do i have?

Actually slants to the right (/),as viewed from drivers seat as is universally accepted perspective, otherwise they're RHD trucks,no? Blue painted block could be a later replacement as early truck engines were a pale yellow. Later motors also had five core plugs as opposed to earlier three core. This...

Re: Now I am confused!

[quote="MowagW200"]Hi I'm little confused now, too. It's because I didn't find the casting number of my the engine in my truck. First there is the C D P D sign (Chrysler Dodge Plymouth De Soto) as on the radiator I posted earlier. After this sign the number is 226 or 228 4370. On the upper line is a...

Re: What is bed length

Wide "swept" or "Utiline",inside length of box should be the same on 114" w/b frame,no?
Utiline swb is described as being a 6,1/2' bed. Actually(1963) measures 79,1/2 ", headboard to inside of tailgate.

Re: hey guys, pics of ,my 63 step side

Some interesting details there- snaps for a bed cover on the tailgate and sides, some type of sown covers on the tailgate chains. May be the original motor with three core plugs though color is not correct. Were ign coils mounted on fender as opposed to block in that era? :thinking The "Ferrari" red ...
