Re: how to pull the engine on an A 108?

It's possible to leave the transmission attached, but just be careful coming out the passenger door

Re: WANTED A100 318 transmission

Some of the 70's Dodge pickups w/divorced transfer case used the same transmission. Some Dodge motorhomes also used this type of setup.

62?? Dodge A-100's were produced from '64-'70.

But no matter. I've seen vans go as high as around $6000 but they were in very good condition. I would venture to say that a van in average condition that can be driven would be worth $1500-$2000

:shame Don't add side windows. Find a nice window van if you would want windows.

As far as price goes, if this van is as cherry as it sounds, then yes that is a fair price. A-100 values are starting to climb a bit as the years go by especially the pickups.

I have a 69 A-108 and do not have any overheating problems. I had the original 3-row rad. recored a couple of years ago along with a new 180 deg. thermostat, flushed the block, new hoses, and water pump. I run the stock 6-blade fan with shroud, and for those really hot days, I do have and electric p...

That and an A-100 is unibody and only has a 90" wheelbase. A b-van body would probably be easier. :thinking

The A-100 van/pickup was built from 1964-1970. They came in Pickup, Van, Sportsman wagon, and Custom Sportsman wagon form. In 1965 the LA273 was made available making them the most powerful compact truck on the market. In 1967 the 273 was dropped in favor of an LA318 and also they offered a 108" whe...

Let's see..A-100's in movies or TV.

Any CHiPs episode

The new remake of the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" movie...the A-100 plays a major part.

The Jackson 5 movie on VH1 a few years back featured a Custom Sportsman wagon as the family vehicle.

Underpowered? The A-100 was the only compact truck/van that offered a V8 at the time, making them the most powerful compact trucks on the market. Now the 170 slant six...that's another story.
