Re: Replacement Raidiator Sources
I custom ordered a 4 core aluminum radiator for Griffin (in South Carolina). It allowed me to move the radiator forward and gave me more room for a big fan with a clutch. I then made a fan shroud and added a puke tank. I'm running a 440 punched out .080 (or .100 - don't remember) and everyone swears...

Help pulling the steering box
Okay, I feel really stupid, but I can't figure out how to pull the steering box out. There's just no room to get it out. I've got the pitman arm free/off, the 3 bolts to the frame are off, the bolt through the collar attaching the rag going to the steering box is off, and the 2 bolts through the rag...

Re: Flaming River
I'd take a look at a power steering conversion kit, which includes an integral power steering gear, that can be had for that kind of money--maybe even a bit less. My preferred vendor has been black listed from this site, easy blank blank street llc, or CPP (Classic Parts) offers them. I'd avoid the...

I’m pretty good at fabrication but a don’t think there is any easy way to use that box in a sweptline.
Bud Thorp rebuilds Saginaw boxes for our Sweptlines.

Necro thread but I wouldn't mind trying QA1. These seem like they'd work: TN901 or TS901

Re: 1969 Sway Bar Bushings?
I realize this is an old thread but I replaced mine for new bushings and housing when I put the '69 bar in my '68. I grabbed something from the shelf at the local parts store that included a poly bushing and housing. I put them in a decade ago but am only putting miles on them now. So far, so good. ...

Re: Do I Need New Rear Springs?
I had my rear springs rebuilt by a driveline shop. No regrets. I had helper springs before the rebuild that a previous owner added and I was able to get rid of those. Much better ride overall. Seems like you're there

The folks at PolyBushings (https://polybushings.com/pages/moparmounts.html) do great work. I don't know that they have exactly what you need. I have one of the early production truck trans mounts.
My 440 is currently secured with their locking slant 6 mounts.

Re: Stalling issue w/ a 318
Can you describe the stall a little more? If you're cruising along and get into the gas a little does it lie down and then pick up? If that's the case, your accelerator pump may need adjusted (this is a pretty easy job and Holley has videos). If it adjusted properly then the diaphragm may be old and...

Looks nice. Also, what extra cross member??! I feel less bad about chopping mine out now. Hooker used to make them. Doesn't look like they offer them any more but maybe you can get some clearance: https://fcrcmachine.com/hooker-headers-super-comp-header-1967-1974-dodge-d100-d200-d300-5810hkr/

Re: HEADER OPTIONS FOR A CROWN VIC IFS SWAP
The 68 and older is a pain because of the extra cross member. I used Hooker Headers but no longer see them available. On an RB block, the difference in height makes for interesting exhaust routing. I cut out the extra cross member and it still took some work. Some pictures in my build thread from my...

Re: Front axle (2WD) disc brake conversion
It would be nice to be able to get some specs on the new brackets but as mentioned, that would likely only happen when someone is able to get a set and copy them. I wasn't even aware they had come out with a 2nd design that used other caliper assemblies. The main problem with the earlier Scarebird ...

Re: Fuel Cap?
I have been using NAPA part 703-1221, fit just fine, 70 to 62 trucks 703-1220 and 703-1221 appear to be the same except the exterior finish (satin vs chrome). Both have a diameter of 1.5" that doesn't fit my truck. Looks like I may be doing some "fitting." Thanks for confirmation on the PN. The loc...
