Re: Old Power Wagons

I will need to get some pictures and post them. Not to sure about flat fenders. Things are hot and dry here in Tx. I was suprised that you remembered! You are right about shipping, with fuel over $4 bucks/gal. getting on the road is cost prohibitive! How are things in Lockport? I'll bet the fall sce...

Old Power Wagons

I have a friend who is wanting to get rid of several old military type PW's that his late father collected. I think that they are from the 60's. If, there is any interest from site members I can inventory the lot and take pictures. These are located in East Tx. I would have snapped them up but, I'm ...

Yes, I am still crying! :pale Man watching that truck go out the driveway and then fade off into the sunset on South 59 just broke my heart. I know that Jason will enjoy it. He has access to a wealth of knowledge on Dodge trucks having Cowboy as his father in law. :dance It is in good hands and will...

There was an independant study done on oil filters. I made a copy of it but can't seem to find it. I will look for it some more later. The Fram was one of the lowest rated filters. There are more and more being manufactured in China. The quality of the materials is inferior to what is used in the US...

[quote="Cageman"]I like that, it is all camoe'd out, and it has chrome wheels! I just got a set of 6 hummer wheels 16.5", and tires 36x16.5x12.5. The back spacing on the hummer rims caused them to hit the tie rod ends lock to lock. I had these old 16.5 wagon wheels with less back spacing and mounted...

Rodger, Your post got me to thinking about a "swamp cooler" that I found when cleaning out my late Mother in laws garrage. I never thought about actually using it. I don't think that it would do much for the humidity though. Now where did I put that thing?????

The bottom line is what the "bean counters" are interested in, period! A good company is always looking ahead several years to stay profitable and build what is in demand. Goodyear got behind the curve and are now jumping thru hoops in order to get back on track. They are closing a plant near here i...

Went to a Forrest Service auction one day just to look at what they had. It was during a week day which seemed strange to me and attendance was sparse, only 17 guys including myself. There were over 200 trucks there but only this one 68 W200. There were a bunch of Mil. spec. Blazers and old (Duce an...

Clint, I am still checking this site once and awhile but have been inactive in the world of swepts. Still have the old PW but I need a set of tires for it. The ones on it now are dry rotted. I wanted to stay with the 16.5" wheels but the tires are $230+ a pop. I just can't justify spending 1k$ on a ...
