Re: 70 turn signal options Neon???

Bought a set of the amber lenses for my original housings off ebay for about $30 they are repops but not too bad, I will blast the original housings and straighten them, these aluminum grills seem to be a magnet (redundant huh) for damage, I got most of the dents out of grill sanded off anodizing fo...

Re: 70 turn signal options Neon???

Jim,
Looks like you own a 70' have you compared the 2 of them by any chance? I don't know if they are similar enough to work as a replacement.

70 turn signal options Neon???

My 70 turn front turn signal housings and lenses are junk, I haven't had much luck finding good replacements at a fair price especially the lenses, I was at the store and saw a late 90,s dodge neon, and noticed the general shape, size and style of front signals are similar to my stock truck ones, th...

Re: Aerostar IFS

Havent been on here in a long time, the pictures show the aerostar front crossmember before it was cut to clearance for the rack steering, you have to "roll" the rack steering column connection point backwards and reweld the rack mounts at a new angle, while clearancing the crossmember for the corre...

Re: High Build Primer surfacer

I have been looking and asking around at local shops to anyone who will talk to me, you have confirmed what a couple of them have said, and you listed a name brand for what I need which is excellent, this is the kind of info I was looking for, I already have the surfacer and have de-greased, de-waxe...

High Build Primer surfacer

Any suggestions for a good High build primer, I haven't used any of this new stuff, the last car I painted was in the mid 80's and they didn't have all these high teck high build primers back then, but, I have seen some of these now that spray thin then thicken up and fill all of the scratches and e...

Re: Any Members with body experience near Bako

There are untold gobs of hours that go into body work, not to mention a good degree of skill. I remember my friend who restored my '67 Coronet R/T telling me the number of hours that he invested in getting one door finished. :pale When I hear someone saying that a paint job will cost $5000-$7000......

Re: Any Members with body experience near Bako

Ok, there is pretty much no chance of me and my son stripping this truck to bare metal, for several reasons, first being, I do not have the money to soda blast, and I do not have the patience to sand/wire wheel the whole thing, and besides, I have painted a couple of older cars including a 74 nova a...

Re: Any Members with body experience near Bako

Let me elaborate alittle, I have all the holes welded up, and I used a weld a stud dent puller to take out the majority of the dents, and I cut out all of the rust areas and welded in patches back to good steel, I have applied a super thin coat of filler over the areas that had been dented just to g...

Met with a fellow sweptliner Jason from Riverside, I forget what username he goes by, I am bad about these things, but, he gave me a call, as he was going to be in my hometown, and so I caught up with him and his awesome Camper special, and a couple of his friends, also got to see his 68 crewcab, ve...
