Dana 60 in 1967 D200 now a W200
Hi!~it's been long time. I noticed after 30 years of owning this truck that my truck goes down the road dog legged. Meaning the rear wheels don't line up with the front. There is no adjusting it. The perches are welded on the axil housing. I have new lifting blocks in the rear between the perches an...

Re: Power steering pics.
Brucer, wow those are some great pictures. I have a power assist that I have had over 20 years sitting on the floor. The truck I have is a 1967 D200 and now it is a W200 conversion. My front end is a Dana-Spicer 44 closed knuckle (appears) your picture shows a closed knuckle Dana 60 front end? The o...

Re: Headers for 1967 D200 now W200 LA318 engine
Thanks!~for all your help pointing me in the right direction. Hedman headers seem reasonable. The numbers you gave me are both correct for the 1967 318 D200. They are 1 5/8 in. tubes. 79010 full length uncoated...$265.99 Walmart. 79016 full length coated...$758.92 So I looked up the 1967 W200, but n...

Headers for 1967 D200 now W200 LA318 engine
Been a long time since I posted. I have a 1967 D200 and I turned it into a 4x4. What headers can I purchase for this truck? I like the long headers that are stainless steel. My 318 has been built with a Edelbrock cam, intake, 4 br carb, and flat top pistons. Soon I will install the Edelbrock aluminu...

Re: Switching a 4 speed manual to a 5 in a 1967 W200?
PowerMan, thank you!~Now all I have to do is start searching. It's people like you that make this site great. Sounds good!~I saw a post today that someone else has made a 4x2 into a 4x4 and he had to cut down the crossmember for the transfer case. I have bolts holding mine together. I guess that dep...

Re: Switching a 4 speed manual to a 5 in a 1967 W200?
Hello!~I thought I saw a NV4500 with out it's bell housing and it was a 2 wheel drive truck that you slide in. Was asking if you could just slide the trans (with out the bell housing into my old bell housing? Well I don't know if you guys are ever on YouTube, but Jonathan W is putting a 4x2 Chevy NV...

Re: Switching a 4 speed manual to a 5 in a 1967 W200?
Hello!~I am getting a little confused about the switch to a NV4500. My 1967 Dodge is A D200. It has been converted to a 4x4 by me using Power Wagon parts. I have the same center intermediate drive shaft between the manual trans and the transfer case. You say I need the 1996 or newer 2 wheel drive Ch...

Re: Switching a 4 speed manual to a 5 in a 1967 W200?
Found this on eBay looks like your right on the tail shaft to small drive line on the 2x4 Chevy. I wonder about the input shaft length and splines? Do you think this would bolt to my bellhousing on the 4 speed? Has anyone ever done this before? The NV4500 is supposed to be a real durable trans and c...

Re: Switching a 4 speed manual to a 5 in a 1967 W200?
Thanks for all the replies. It looks like 9 years ago I was still asking the same questions. So I guess I have been thinking about these changes for quite a while. The NV4500 was suggested before, but I didn't know if that was a good choice because one guy said that there was to much going on (elect...

Switching a 4 speed manual to a 5 in a 1967 W200?
HI!~It has been a long time since I have been on this site. I bought a 2001 extended SLT Dakota (4x4) and put a crate 4.7L engine in it....and I love that truck. Was wanting to know if anyone ever put an Dakota 1994-2004 NV3500 (5 speed Manual trans) in an old 1967 D200 that has been switch to a 4x4...

Re: 1967 Dodge D200-hood problems
Well I just bought an iPad and I could take a picture.
I'll have to have my daughter show me how to put it on sweptline.org.
Unless you can tell me how to post pictures.
I'm not really into computors that much, but always willing to learn.
Thanks!~John

1967 Dodge D200-hood problems
Hi!~It has been a while since I posted. Got this 89 Jeep and it has been a challenge to keep running and fix up. Well I know Jims68 from Now Jersy has helped me on this one before. My son came home with the D200 and the hood broke on the divers side and is up in the air. I put a ratching strap acros...

Re: 5 speed manual transmissions
This pretty interesting, so if I don't use the 1st gear (granny gear) on my 4 speed transmission do they make a transmission that is geared better? What I'm getting at is there a 4 speed (manual) transmission better than the NP435 that I would use 1st gear and by the time I get to 4 gear it would be...

Re: 5 speed manual transmissions
Thanks!~for the info. Just thought it would be nice to have that extra gear. I think my NP435 is a 11 splines. Not a problem with the drive shaft between the trans and transfer case. Not many old Dodges left around here in southeast Montana. I guess the price of metal is getting pretty high. Every d...

5 speed manual transmissions
Been a while since I posted anything. Wanted to know how difficult it would be to get and install a 5 speed manual trans.? I have a 1967 Dodge D-200 and turned it into a 4x4. The trans in it now is a NP435. Front ends a Dana 44 -4.09 and the rear is a Dana 60- 4.10. What would the 5 speed number be?...

Re: Loose steering on 67 D-200
Thanks!~for the info Butch. I appreciate it. The gear box I have has never been adjusted, but if it isn't the adjustment I have another gear box. These ranches around here use to have a lot of old parts Dodges and a few years back I got another gear box and power assist set ups. Johns67- to bad they...

Loose steering on 67 D-200
Hello, was going threw an old 4x4 magizine yesterday evening. I found this ad for Dodges from Borgeson Company. The title said, "Do you love your Dodge, but hate your steering?"They say the OEM steering shaft assembly needs replacement and that they wear out in as little ad 4500 miles. They make a h...

What about the shocks? I never have figured out what shocks to put on my 1967 D200 (turned 4x4). I'm sure the 4x4 s must have a longer shock? Any one have any part numbers for the shocks?
Johs67-No shocks on the back of my pickup.

Re: D100 Clutch
Is it true that Chevy makes the same 11 inch clutch? That's what the guy at the local parts store told me. Remember to cut the flywheel, and replace the throw out bearing and pilot bearing. I even cleaned up the input shift on the trans with emery cloth. Nothing like doing things twice. Also good ti...

steering wheels.
Does any one know if on the black steering wheels of a 1967 D200 is there a crome horn center and ring that goes on the inside of the steering wheel? My horn never did work. I have one off a 1965? I wonder if its like a 1968 I saw it had one?
