Re: Headers 1969 W200 318

Word to the wise, I've been waiting on ceramic coated headers from Headman since I believe Oct. 2021 for my D150. However Summits website shows the plain ones are in stock.

Good information as my "68 D100 longbed is going to go through the same deal as well as mysteriously turn into a factory shortbed in the process lol.

Re: Hotwire a Swepty

You can also run a jumper from the battery to the positive on the battery, then short across the starter relay. However this will throw your charging system into full charge mode so don't run it to long.

Re: Intake question/anyone??

I'm surprised that you boys didn't mention the fact that Chrysler also built a RB version of the 383 in the early '60s. Some even came with duel 4 barrels in the higher dollar cars. The highest HP reading for the "B" block 383 was 335 horses in the Roadrunner/ Superbee cars.

Sounds like Jimmy has had some experiance with FBO products. Wonder where he got that from  . Anyway if any of you haven't been to Don's websight you are missing some of the best stuff that's out there for Mopar. His ignition is light years ahead of it's time and that's just the start.

YOur alternators not putting out at that low RPM. Pretty common deal. Raise your idle speed to about 800rpm.

First are you sure you have the correct four barrel linkage? Low shift points are a sure sign of low throttle pressure. If you did a two barrel to four barrel conversion your linkage is going to be to short. The easy way to tell is when the throttle is fully open there should NO freeplay in the link...

Yes John you are correct. The front ratio will always be off that .01. Are you sure the ratios were ALWAYS .01 off? every 4X4 I've ever had showed the front gears different from the back by that amount. I'm going to disagree with 4.10s been the most common. I have a another truck I bought about a m...

Chris. I started using street legal drag radials several years ago when Goodrch started making them. A piece of advice for whatever it is worth: 1. ZERO traction on anything but dry pavemnet. 2. ZERO life expectance (back then they had a 00 tread wear rating). 3. Big money for a very short lived tir...
