Re: Donor Frame

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did a search for words like "frame swap", "ram", etc. and didn't come up with much. I'll keep trying.

Thanks again

Donor Frame

Hello, I am going to be starting in on my 67 this spring and I am looking around for some advice. My plans are to build a 2wd daily driver with FI,OD,PS,AC... basically all the moden amenities. So, my plans as of now are to use a beat up 90's Ram as a donor chassis and just pop the sweptline body on...

Hahaa... I bought that magazine in high school. I remember it like it was yesterday... a buddy of mine pointed at the girl on the front and in his best valley girl voice said... "Like that's why the truck isn't running, there's no hood so the engine is cold."

still cracks me up...

I'll be at the show with my Coronet. I'm not planning on running at Marion though... The thing is scary enough hitting the brakes doing 60... I'd hate to see what would happen at the end of the quarter :)

Spend a few bucks and put it on ebay. Start it at $3999 and put a $100000 reserve on it.

I've never been one for molding my views based on poll numbers I see on TV. I prefer to use my eyes, ears and knowledge of past events. I found this link on cuda-challenger.com http://www.imcdb.org It's a big photo database of cars in movies. You can search by make, model, year.... pretty slick. You should be able to find just about every movie that had a sweptline in it. Here are some examples I found http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.p...

I was thinking about using laminate fake wood flooring like Pergo or a cheaper brand and use a chrome rubber aftermarket wheel well molding for the ribs.

I figue it will look like the real deal but be more weather resistant.
