If its close and you can see it several times, take some pix and post.

Re: 67

That truck is beautiful! I'll second the pertronix ignition. I sat on the fender and replaced it with everything still under the hood. I did that about 15 years ago. Still running strong. It's nice not to have to gap the points every 9 months. Make sure you look into which one to get. I think the ig...

That's great. I've been wishing for a mid '60s crew for a while. They are hard to find.

Re: send off for my dad

Sorry for your loss. What a great last ride for him.

I got my '66 from my Grandpa who purchased it brand new. We planned on carrying his casket in the back on the way to the grave site. She was the first in line behind the hearse instead. What an honor that was for me as the new owner.

Re: Differential Questions

If you do remove the third member, consider cutting a hole and tapping for a drain plug in the diff housing. It'll much easier to change out fluid

Thank you for all you do for this site. I've been working diligently on my Jeep the last couple years and may finally be able to pay more attention to the Swepty.

Re: Help me pick!!!

If you aren't track racing it, IMO you should look for a cam that is rated idle up.

However, there are good articles about how to build up a 318.

Re: Wiper Motor Changes..

Mine is similar in that it turns on then is like a light dimmer. I can really only tell 3 different speeds though, slow, really slow, and slowest.

Of course if I have the heater fan going, the lights on and the wiper going, I can make it crawl so slow you can almost perceive it moving.

Re: 10v alternators...

Used your instructions. No voltage on the ignition terminal of voltage regulator. There was voltage on the ignition switch, but not at the firewall. I cut the wire, spliced in new, and now it's charging. I had all the parts so all I spent was time! Thanks. Poor nearly 50 year old wiring is starting ...

Re: 10v alternators...

This is great, thank you! Mine truck just stopped charging as well, so I've been slowly tracking down the problem, but it's looking more and more like the alternator. I've never rebuilt one, must be time.

I love my '66. It is a similar color, though there has been a lot of changes since it looked like that. Welcome aboard and good luck!

Re: Lockup torque converter switch. 1977-78

Having a switch would be great, until you have to switch and switch and switch and ... Try these links, and see if it is possible to do something like this. There should be a way to tap into the fluid pressure, and use a pressure switch to engage and disengage. Think it through and you can get it. Y...
