Yes, the 68 hood will bang into the grill. 68 hoods are 1 yr only so if its in great shape its worth way more than the correct hood you need, which was used 61-67.

Re: 1961 Differential Pinion Seal
I've searched the forums, and the parts people have searched their reference books, and we can't find a seal for the diff on my 61' D100. It's the good ol' 8 3/4". Can anyone point me in the right direction? What are the casting numbers on the center section? 741,389,742 ? The seals are still avail...

Take it out and look for the seal number stamped into it. Or, measure it up and find one the same dimensions.

Re: Power Steering Conversion Kits
I don't know who the 'not allowed' LLC is. On my '67 D100 I installed a kit sold by ezsteer on ebay. Overall I am satisfied and I am very happy with the results. There are a few points to note. Not Allowed is the guy you bought your system from. As your truck is a D100, it is totally different than...

You should also get the FSM (Factory Service Manual). It will be exceedingly more useful than the parts book.Rickandkatie1970 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 1:30 pmthank you everyone for your help i decided to purchase the part manual i should have it by Wednesday.

Re: 1965 tilt steering
Tilt was never available in the sweptline era. None of my 60's mopar cars had it either. First ever saw it in the 70's, maybe the 73 Polara I had, don't remember.
I have a 66 D100 with a Flaming River tilt column installed. It does look similar to the factory column.

So what are my options for replacement stuff? because we cant find anything. https://www.jgrelining.com/ this will be great when we redo the pads, but the wheel cylinders are shot, all the hardware rusted and fell apart. Need that stuff first In your first post you said you got new cylinders from N...

Welding is only way to do it correctly, permanently and perfectly.
Better to do it right than to do it twice.
Also, buy the best and only cry once.

I have the original 4 speed np435 that came factory in these trucks. At least that is what I think it is. Some 383 trucks have the NP 445, which is a superb trans! It will say on the vin plate what it came with. What was the first year the 445 was available? I don't know, but would guess maybe 69 o...

Re: Turn Signal Switch Operation
The white wire feeds power to both left and right circuits for the brake lights when the switch is in the center position. That is the position with solid black lines. When in turn position, one half of the dotted lines indicate the signal circuit, depending on whether left or right, and one half of...

Will work fine with hose coupled section. Early sweptline tanks were done that way. Just be sure to get fuel compatible hose.

Re: Wiper Motor - Park Position
Does it correct the position by switching the arms at the connection to the motor?
Usually this situation occurs when the motor has been disassembled and incorrectly put back together.
