Dual plane vs single plane manifold

Ive been debating on switching out my edelbrock dual plane manifold for a edelbrock single plane intake manifold. I want more hp but wanna know all the pros and cons of switching. I do know I will be losing some torque but with the amount the 318 puts out I think Ill be alrite lol.
