Re: Transmission help: rebuild vs buy used/new
is it pretty hard to give a quote for transmission you have not seen? since truck wont run, id have to tow it in. Not really. Typically when a rebuild is done, most of the same wearable parts are always replaced, unless its major or minor. The only way to know is to get on the phone. Ask for both p...

I am sure someone else that has one can say for sure about the floors, but I doubt they are very close. I know the rockers are not.

Re: My Rare 1964 D100
Isn't that a Ford color? Where did you get that it was factory color on your truck? My guess is that someone wanted their truck to match their T-bird back in the day.
I like your wheels. Are those new factory Dodge? Are they 5x4.5?

Re: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGH!
Since you recently drove this truck, I don't think serious corrosion would be the problem. A big hammer usually solves everything. But yeah, cutting the pins from the back so the shoes and all fall out sounds like your best bet.

Re: Longbed into a Shortbed
Its a big fabrication chore, but can be done. I'm not sure what you mean by bed repop kits. Not for a dodge anyway. Several members have done frame splices and there is 1 member that made his truck a medium bed. If you plan to do the bed also, long beds are longer in front and behind wheel so you ca...

Well originally you mentioned adding a leaf because of added weight. So are you thinking about removing or adding? What is your goal for ride height?

Re: New guy from Indiana wants to build a 65-67
Also, here is some more info if you still plan on using the newer frame.

I've concluded that if you use a 61-65 londbed box, you won't have to extend the frame, but instead add frame to the rear and cut off some of the front.
