Farm truck still likes to work

Every farmer needs a truck they can use for work and not worry about a scratch here or there. I have owned this one since 2005. It is licensed and road worthy (as long as you keep it under 50). I have two of these crew cabs I am restoring my 4x4 crew but I will keep this one as is. It hauls firewood...

Re: Dana 44

Here are some more pics: The truck is pretty straight only rust is in the floor pans, the rocker panels are in great shape. Lived in South Dakota all its life. The frame was painted yellow at one time and then overcoated with what looks like a light film of grease.

Dana 44

I need some help in identifying which dana 44 I have. I just picked this truck up and it has larger closed knuckle covers than other 44's I have seen. The numbers off the diff cover tag are: 45-11 and 4 0 9. Stamped on the lower part of the diff is 188881 and 2018188. To the right of the diff on the...

RE: floating

In a full-floating axle, the axle bearing is placed on the outside of the axle housing. This places all the vehicle weight on the axle housing and none on the axle itself. This is important for the front axle which is generally a short shaft. In the semi-floating axle, the axle bearing is placed in ...

RE: I hate wiring

I can confirm that on my 67 the blower switch comes directly from the fuse box. I cannot remember the size of the fuse, I will have to check. The following text comes directly from my 1967 operators manual: To heat the cab, pull knob H all the way out and when the engine begins to warm up, pull out ...

Mirror styles

Looking through the registry I've noticed there are so many different type of mirrors on the trucks. Mine looks exactly like vin# 1281696697. Was this a dodge mirror or an aftermarket?

re: 225 exhaust manifold

Did you every get your exhaust manifold installed? Just curious because I completed mine last night, I recvd mine from 1aauto and it fit right up. It is difficult to get the triangular washers on the two center studs under the carb but I found a long flex magnet will do the trick. :Thumbsup
