Re: Been a while...

One could say that. Things do feel a bit different around here based on what I read. But I'll stick around a bit and check everything out. I plan on going through extra parts as well and might put a few on here at some point this year. Let's just say deeply discounted. Gotta clean a few things...

Been a while...

Hi all. It's been a while. Truck is still running strong. Starts every time. I don't miss the carburator. Life has gone by fast. I apologize for not checking in. For about 8 years. Ok maybe ten. Went to Mopars in the park in Stillwater, MN last weekend. Had a blast with the family. Saw some sw...

Re: A Visit With Steven In July

Yeah bill, there was something that went weird with my post count last year, I lost like 500 posts or something, somehow? Not a big deal, I could care less. It's good to stop back in. John, I've only hit the rev limiter once, so that tells you how often I really get on it. It's kinda scary whe...

Do as soopernaut says. It is kinda tricky to do without scratching any paint, though. Things like defroster vents, gauges, and wiring are also attatched, so be careful with those, too. :Thumbsup

Re: A Visit With Steven In July

Hey guys, just happened to wonder tonight if John told you guys about us meeting up. Looks like he did! lol. And you got my good side, too! :dance The truck has been running great. Other than a pesky serpentine belt squeak, its been 1300 blissful pedal pushing miles- trouble free. (knock on wo...

Re: Lets see your dashes and custom gauges and paint work?

i have a question about the new speedometers; do they hook into the factory cable? need an adapter etc? I'm pretty sure that new mechanical speedos are standard, just like the old ones. Mine is electronic, and I put a driveshaft sensor on. I dont think you would need to do that though if you went e...

Here...

I welded the square holes shut, then cut out the holes with a hole saw in the factory bezel, turned out alright.

Re: disc/drum master cylinder?

quick question guys! I also bought a '72 MC before even reading this post, got it about a week ago. My old master was for four drums, and started leaking, too. Got it painted and everything. Now, which line goes to the front, which one goes to the back of the cylinder. The 50/50/90 rule applies here...

Re: "Done"?

Wow, thanks guys. I actually submitted the first one to Ben, as the third I did have to tweak a bit. I dont like submitting pictures that have been messed with. But really, its far from perfect. Ok chrome, ok paint job, etc. I just wanted to have fun, and I'm not having any problem with that. ...

Re: "Done"?

Thanks guys, its nice when people who appreciate these trucks tell me that. Most people just say, oh, thats your Dodge? Oh, cool. But I didnt build it for them, I built it for me. I'm going to the tech school in town here, taking a two year degree in automated packaging systems technician. I l...

Re: Newbie with 67

Truck looks great, wow. And welcome.

FYI, those rims are from a Magnum/Charger SXT, same ones I have on my Magnum. Problem is, the bolt pattern is 115x5. So they will fit on the 4.5x5 bolt pattern, but it will put stress on the studs. I wouldnt drive on those for too long.

"Done"?

Everyone knows that they're never done with a project, but I'm pretty happy with what I all want done on this thing. Couple of pictures from the other morning, and night. I've put 600 miles on it, and it still is every bit as fun to drive. The MC I have to switch out to a later one, one that was mad...
