I know there are a few people that have done the "early" body to "later" chassis swap.I am in the process of putting a '62 cab on a '79 "W" chassis,but i have been in the process for about a year and a half.I also have swapped a '67 cab to an '84 'D" chassis.

I am just curious if i could safely get rid of my power steering pump,fill my power steering gear with grease and use it like a manual steering gear?
