Re: steering column
I've welded my cab mounts, but I may not have gotten the cab jacked up enough. What do you think if I loosen the column bolts and pull up? Would that help? Could it screw anything up?

Re: steering column
Thanks. The sound seemed like it came from the top. I spray WD40 up the column and it still catches but doesn't make the same sound. How do you change the bearing and where would I get one? Bob

wipers driving me crazy
65.5 They used to work okay before I stripped my dash to paint it. After washing down the dash, the switch locked up. One of you guys sold me another, but it only ran on high, overheats, and quits. I got another, but the push clip rivet for a connection didn't stay inside the body. Both switches loo...

66 d100 mirror
any recommendations on replacements. I can't afford or find originals and would like to know where to drill before I finish the body work. Some I've looked at don't fit right because of the curve at the top. Thanks Bob

66 d100: I can't find (afford) original. Does anybody have a rec on mirrors other than? You guys know the curve and nothing I've looked at seems cool. It's a wide enough truck already and big mirrors look too weird for me. The orig. was correct, but any recs would be appreciated. Please include wher...

I pop out of second gear
-- 66d100 -- when slowing down to stop. It's done it for a couple decades and I haven't cared because I had to put it in neutral anyway. My throwout bearing is clicking, so I thought I'd ask about the sync, I guess that's what it is. Can one still buy trans parts new? I know a great trans guy. He ca...

Thanks Jeffc
It seems kinda hard, but I'll give it a try. What's the odds since I don't have the tools you mentioned? I've printed out your instructions. Do you have a recommendation on where to get parts? I've been burned by NAPA before, and don't want the thing apart and the parts don't match. Thanks again. Bo...

Leaking Seal at Rear
66 D100 I guess its a grease seal. I've parked my truck on a slant for a while to do body work. Yesterday, I took off the rear bumper and noticed grease running down the passenger side rear tire. What do I need to do to fix it? Any special tools? Any recommondation on getting the part, or anything e...

square hole on inside of fender
I bought a fender off the site. What kind of bolt do I use for the square hole close to the door at the top? Does anybody have one or know where I can get one and how to put it on? Thanks.

swedging axles????
I saw the post on king pins. I've replaced mine a couple of times. However, the play that I have seems to be in the axle rather than the bushings. Short of replacing the axle, does anybody have any recommendations? This guy said that swedging might fix it. How is that done? Bob
