Do a local search for hose manufacturing. You can often have hoses custom made for a reasonable price with the right ends.

Re: Not a Swepty, but dream truck

You may not have known, but your '77 is a Sweptline, just the updated body style. See the page about the 1977 Dodge truck models at https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1977/77_trucks_0015.jpg Interesting, it was built as a cab and chassis, so I don't know if t...

its funny that i remember that so vividly don't think i've even thought of that show since it went off air
like 45 years ago
Both MEtv and Cozi tv (oldies stations) still run reruns 6 days a week. It's still my favorite show

Re: Not a Swepty, but dream truck

ha sweet... maybe if the guy lets you keep it there you won't have to sell off your 70 i don't remember sweptys in that show but a 73/74 red box comes to mind He's only letting me keep it there til spring. plus it's 4 hours away, so not really convenient for long term. The "Hero Car" was a 72 D300 ...

Not a Swepty, but dream truck

Well, I lucked out and found very close to my dream truck. Growing up I was a huge fan of the Emergency TV show. (Plenty of Sweptys in the show) It pushed me into the fire service and while I happened upon close to my dream truck. It's not quite the same, but in some ways it's even better Unfortunat...

I wasn't aware you could get a short wheel base in anything but a half-ton chassis (100 series)

Re: M37 Bed on Power wagons?

Looks like a factory "Utiline" (aka stepside) 8ft bed. yes, those were available. I believe they offered 6ft, 8ft and 9ft versions of the stepside and 6ft and 8ft of the smooth side "sweptline" bed

Re: oil filter mounting plate leak?

There is an additional gasket between the plate and the block. If you have a right-angle adapter, there are more gaskets involved as well

Re: Brake-Wheel laughs

After you cut the swage off the lugs and drive them out, the hub and drum come apart. Actually, looks like you have the later front axle design and the drum just pulls off the hub/lugs. Either way, the hubs and drums are separate pieces on all swepts. The drum doesn't just come off the hub, hence m...

Re: Brake-Wheel laughs

So I did some digging and the tool called out in the manual is a 2 3/8 hex socket. They are available from the tool trucks, but I found one on EBay for around $20. My new issue is do the front drums have a hub pressed into the drum or is it one whole piece. What I have doesn't match what RockAuto or...

Brake-Wheel laughs

You guys are going to laugh at his.. So I went to pull my wheels the first time on my D200 to check the brakes since I had a pedel/floor experience. No brake fluid in the master. Now I have to bleed the, might as well go through everything... This is not my first Mopar so I am aware of the Left-hand...

That is cool... how much are they asking for it? Probably too much. Saw a 71 W200 383 for $78899 in Winnipeg... https://www.winnipegautogroup.com/vehicles/1971/dodge/w200/headingley/mb/56082563/?sale_class=used They were asking around $18,000, but it gone from their site, so it probably sold. Re: Engine and Transmission help

I think for each given year the heads from 340/360 are direct swap onto 318. The ports are taller. Not all of them. The earlier 340 2.02 intake valves can interfere with some factory pistons, especially with anything other than a stock cam. Cutting reliefs in pistons for valve clearances is not che...
