Re: Another 6 to 318 swap
Sir As an visual start look at where the 318's Oil Pan Slump is located. Then match this with the needed space location in the truck. Any Dodge Van with an V8 has the needed Engine to Frame Bracket's. Any 1974 to 1972 Dodge Van with non EGR/ Emmission Exhaust Manifold on the Left ( Driver's ) will b...

Alexi In 4th ( aka Over-Drive ) with the 3.55:1 Ratio it will always perform as if you are going against the wind or an long up-grade or a little of both. With this Rear Axle Ratio you will be in 3rd many times on The Inter-States. The better of the two with the transmission you are going to use is ...

Re: fan clutch
Hola Part two of what was just said is after about 20 to 15 MPH the Cooling Fan is not needed. This means on any vhicle the fan only is needed when you are using the drive window at some place or you are in some local parade. This is where The Fan Shroud - Fan and etc do their job. Some where betwee...

Re: fan clutch
Jim This is an item that all can "learn about" so be kind if you feel if I'm Preaching To The Choir . The GM and MoPar's both use the same Engine Fan Clutch Units so this part is very easy to locate. Because of the lack of Water Pump Nose location and The Radiator location there is very little room ...

John 1. The 1980 something 727 ( or 998 ) from The Slant Six Powered Dodge Truck will bolt to your 1967 Slant Six and should bolt up to the same location's. The newer Transmission has an Valve Body Unit which allows an "part trottle" dowm shift vs stomping the peddle to the floor. Because the Spline...

Re: 318 with edelbrock intake questions
Sir Just so that you know ... most after market intakes that have 318 cast into them are for The LA-360 Heads. The Inlet Head Ports for all 318's are one size and The Inlet Head Ports for any LA-360 are much larger. Because of this it is as if having an 3/4 inch pipe and trying to flow the matter in...

Sir The OEM Exhaust Manifolds used in all of the Trucks from The 100 Series to The Largest of The Large all use the same Exhaust Manifold's. On both sides of The Engine they are an "Center Dump". The Right Side ( Passenger Side is the same part number used with the Car Division's ( and even the 240/...

Re: poly engine ID stamping
Hola
Just below the Head Gasket on The Driver's Front ( behind of where
an Power Steering Pump would go ). This is where it is for an original
engine placed in The Car Division's.
If the vehicle has an alum cased automatic it is an 1962 to 1966 engine.

Jim The MoPar A-500 or the A-518 which was used in the first series Over-Drive is what you want. The were used mostly in The Dodge 1500 and 2500 Vans. The Dakota and The Dodge Ram Trucks also used them too ( but not the same number count as what was put in vans ). The largest engine/ vehicle used wi...

Sir
The ratio of each gear used in the 3 speed manual is the same in
every truck - every rear axle ratio and every engine used.
Reverse 3.95 - 1
1st 3.95 - 1
2nd 3.02 - 1
3rd 1.76 - 1

Sir In answer to your question for an newer unit start looking for an Five Lug 9 1/4 from any 1972 and newer Dodge truck or Ram Charger. The complete unit will bolt in. As already said you may need an size adaptation to get the Brake Line on and a different Yoke/ U-Joint. For trucks the 3.5:1 ratio ...

Of what 413's that had an 2 bbl ( Dodge Heavy Truck Division only ) it is the same base fitting...

Mac You have an five hole pattern. This means in more modern vehicles you are limited to 15 inch wheels. Around Colo Spgs this is an $25 per wheel item. The 235 x 75 x 15 sized tire is an good combo. Will the Jeep Wheel fit to the Sweptline ??? The center hole must also match. Rodger & Gabby COS

Chris Any V8 Engine used in the era of The Sweptline Series is Engineered Designed for an Center Dumping Exhaust Manifold on both sides. This keeps the exhaust heat away from The Starter and it makes it easier to remove The Starter. Only The Plymouth and Dodge Car Division got the A-318 with an rear...
