Re: Where can I buy these small parts for my fenders?

5/16" cage nut for fender available from northland fasteners. I looked up the part # for someone on here before. It's nice to have the cage nut in there because it slides back and forth for alignment. Northland Fasteners Part # NO3798 $6.79 for a bag of 5 :salut

Re: Hobcobble, you got your ears on???

John, I can respect your decision to go with a Ford. Hope you have a mild winter...

I didn't realize how common a problem this was. Graphited lock fluid worked like a charm on my 68 W-200.

Re: Vibration at 45-50 mph

I would take a close look at the upper bronze cone bearings on the steering knuckles. The lowers are tapered roller bearings. Jack up one side and shake the wheel around it is common for those bronze bearings to get sloppy from lack of oil. The gear oil in the closed knuckles only gets up there with...

Re: Exterior Mirrors-

I hunted around on e-bay until I found a pair of new in the box 1960's vintage Signal-Stat aluminum west coast mirrors with the diamond reflectors on the backs of them. Best $20.00 I spent on the old girl. I agree the three hole mirrors are the thing for an all out restoration, but they really are u...
