Re: Sliding Rear Window

Hmm, I'm wondering if that modded one may be the GMC fitment I read about? In those old threads someone had mentioned a window he had being super close, but slightly off in those areas. Perhaps someone else tried out that "solution" that you came across? Intriguing, especially since finding one of t...

Sliding Rear Window

I just recently received my new rubber for my rear window, and before I R+R this thing, I figured I would at least ask if there is any place that has a sliding rear window for a '69 D300? I searched and found a few very old threads about them, but they didn't really provide too much info. Some of th...

Re: Wheels

Well it looks like I have finally had some luck with my wheel search. Thanks PwrWgnDrvr! It may be a bit before I can go get them, but I will post up pics when I finally get these new shoes on the old gal. I hope this thread helps someone else searching for these answers, although they are just goin...

Re: Wheels

PwrWgnDrvr, if you are so inclined as to let them go sir, that would be just awesome! Just name your price (within reason), and I'm sure we can work something out. Although CA is a bit far for a drive to come and get 'em, I would surely also pay you for your time and trouble to ship them. Or, if it ...

Re: Wheels

Thanks man! I had asked him a while back and he said that he'd check. This reminds me to remind him of that. Fingers crossed...

Re: Wheels

Still on the make for these things. It would appear that John's is still up and running in Cabool, soopernaut. I tried calling yesterday and got no response, though. From what I have gathered, ol' John doesn't much like talking on the phone. (Can't say I blame him.) I'll try again tomorrow, but I ma...

Re: Wheels

Thanks for all the responses, guys! The search continues I guess. PwrWgnDrvr, it's a fair point that there is nothing inherently wrong with the split rims. Decades and decades of severe use and many millions of miles would tend to agree with you. Believe me, it would save me a BUNCH of time and aggr...

Re: Wheels

Thanks ironhead! I'm checking that place out now, and it's nice stuff. A bit spendy, but at least I have that option if I don't figure out something else. And while I do like some of the big rims, I don't think I want to go much bigger than a 19.5, if I go that big even.

Re: Wheels

Lots of good info there, Bucky. Much obliged, sir! :Thumbsup Sadly, the boneyards around here aren't much help, and the probability of a good set in less than several trips is problematic as well. Right now I can't find ANY, much less multiples of them to build a good set. It would appear that I'm w...

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on my first Swepty, and I'm ready to dig in! Well, at least when the snow stops here. I may have to dig out before I can dig in! Anyway, it's a 69 D300 dually flatbed in overall great shape, and I've got a really cool vision for it. However, while I knew I wo...

Search Broken?

Hello all! Just joined up and first post here. I have been lurking for a while now and doing research to buy a Swepty, and I finally pulled the trigger last week! It's a 69 D300 flatbed and I'm just itching to get going on it! Anyway, in doing my research, I have attempted to use the search function...
