Re: Hood Rattle
I found them on ebay. They are called hood cushions and come in package of 4. Cost is $11.95. I'm trying to make my truck quiet and comfortable as a Cadillac. Detroit Muscle Technologies specializes in 60s & 70s restoration gaskets, for Mopars and AMCs. Price was $11.95 vs $30 at others.

Hood Rattle
I drive a 68 D100 and the hood rattles at idle. I noticed 4 small rectangular strips on the top near the fender wells. They look pretty worn. Anyone know where to get new ones?

Ballast Resistor
Was driving down the road in traffic and made a right hand turn. Threw the shift lever up into second and pressed the accelerator. My engine was completely shut off. I coasted over to the side and within minutes a fellow stopped and helped me troubleshoot. I wasn't getting any spark. Then another fe...

Re: front disc brake conversion for 61-71 D100
I know this is an old post but I was wondering if the disk brake conversion brackets are available. I am thinking I might get rid of my front drum brakes.

Horn Location
I have two inexpensive horns on my 1968 Dodge D100. They are red plastic like the ones at Harbor Freight. I now have an original horn but don't know the location under the hood for it. Could anyone tell me where this horn is bolted on my truck?

Re: Rear Axle Seal Leak
Thank you for your answer. Is it possible to pull the axle, replace the inner seal, grease the wheel bearing if it isn't bad and reinstall the axle?

Re: Rear Axle Seal Leak
Did you guys look at the post that Wildergarden posted above? I'm not doing all that work here at home. Why do I need to change the bearing? Can I replace the seal without removing the bearing? If so, I will replace the seals but I'm not going to grind the bearing off like in Wildergarden's post. I ...

Re: Rear Axle Seal Leak
Thank you for your reply. I didn't realize it was that complicated. Its not a real bad leak so I think I'll let it go for now. I jacked the truck up and used a level to make sure the truck was level and then took the plug out. The differential was overfilled about 8 ounces. I have no idea how the p...

Rear Axle Seal Leak
I have a rear axle leak on the right rear. According to my Chilton's there is one seal per side. When checking for parts at rockauto and autozone, they list a inner and outer seal. Has anyone on this site changed a rear axle seal on a 8 3/4 differential for a 1968 D100? From what I read, I will need...

Master Cylinder
I have a stock 68 D100. The brakes pull to the right. I've checked adjustment. Does the front master cylinder cavity feed the front wheels and the rear cavity feed the rear brakes? Or is it criss cross? Thank you.

Re: Clutch Engages Top Of Pedal
Thanks for the advice to all. I adjusted the rod to 1/8 inch free play. The clutch still does its business near the top of the stroke. Probably just the way it works. I'm used to the clutch releasing near the floor like my other vehicles.

Clutch Engages Top Of Pedal
I'm not sure how to adjust my clutch. I have a 68 D100 with a /6 engine. It has a fairly new clutch and engages at the top of the pedal. This means I have to fully let the clutch pedal up for the truck to move. Is this normal or is there some kind of adjustment?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Self Adjusting Brake Parts
I have some broken self adjusting parts on the LF of my D100 1968. Does anyone know where I can obtain brake parts. I am missing the cable for self adjusting and another small part.
Thanks

Rough Idle (Distributor?)
I have a 68 D100 with a /6 engine. When I bought the truck it had a spun bearing so I swapped the engine for a /6 out of a early 70s Duster. I used the short block from the 70s Duster and bolted my old head, manifolds, distributor and carburator on to it. The truck runs OK but has a very rough idle....
