Reverse sender is typically on the driver side of the transmission housing just forward of the tailshaft.

Re: 67 d100 rear axle seals and bearing
The axle tube necks down, so driving them in towards the center would not work well.

Re: Has anyone swapped in a newer Dana 70?
One of the drums is missing a large portion of the inner bell, I see no reason to spend money on junk. If I change the whole Dana, new drums are available cheaper than having old drums relined. (The dually rear in my 1st gen Cummins measures very close to the same inside the brake backing plates & I...

Re: Has anyone swapped in a newer Dana 70?
I have a place I know to my gear changes, so no need for me to swap internals around on my own. If anyone has done either of the swaps mentioned above, I would love to hear from you. I do know that new spring perches would need to be welded on to keep the leaf springs in the right position on the '70.

Re: Has anyone swapped in a newer Dana 70?
And.... If I find a newer one that has an open differential, will the limited slip unit in my 1970 Dana 70 swap into it?

Has anyone swapped in a newer Dana 70?
Rear brake drums are available for the newer Dana 70 from the late 80s or so, so has any one swapped to a newer Dana 70?

Re: Full tank
Fuel is stored in underground tanks where it stays cool.
Fuel expands with any rise in temperature.
So..... Do not fill a tank all the way if it is going to sit right after in a warmer environment.

Re: Bed for 69 W300
It took about 9 months for me, had to make a day trip to another state to get it. Two versions, single rear wheel and dual rear wheels. This affects the bed side steps too. The bed sides are 9' 1" overall length. Bed sides are the same other than the holes to attach the fenders. The tail gates, fron...

Re: Hose Clamps
Be aware that some of the replacement OE type clamps are made of a thinner diameter. Reproduction and aftermarket hoses can also vary in wall thickness. So if you replace the clamps and hoses and they leak, these are two possible reasons for it. With thinner materials they may not seal tight enough.

Re: 1970 or 1971 with the 3-speed A-230 : floor shift.
Or...... Were the A-230s only available with three on the tree? I looked at one out of a truck today, but the shift handle is later B-body and the linkage and levers are aftermarket. So it appeared to be a conversion.
