Goon - Is it the really shaky camera video linked below? Seems like a similar set-up. Mine locks up sometimes going from 2nd to 3rd....have to coast to the side of the road, get out and shake the linkages...not fun. I'll try that adjustment.

Re: Drip Rail Trim Removal - '65 D100 Sweptline
Wow - Never considered a reaction could take place.
If zinc is used all should be ok...no reaction? Also - what length do you all think those screws were..1/4"? Should I be concerned about water getting under that drip rail trim and rusting the drip rail down the road?
Thx!

Anyone know what size and head type screws were used on the drip rail trim? Also, any suggestions for the 3 seam clips? Thx!-W

Re: Old Stem Mirror Suggestions
FYI -
The exile custom auto mirror backing plate didn't quite fit (crooked nuts-ouch) their carpet trim part did fit well and Kenny did offer to make a new backing plate using my mirror stem! I would say that's much more than most vendors would do!

Seat Repairs?
Hey All - I have an original seat in my 66' and overall it's in nice shape. As you can see, there are a few places with small rips and seem trim coming off. Is there any way to stop these small tears from getting worse over time...a glue or patch? Thanks, W https://i.postimg.cc/FYMZ0P70/seat.jpg htt...

Re: Carpet on gas tank - ACC Kit
Thanks Jims68 and Martincom - Those pics were very helpful, and the descriptions. Turns out that I didn't have the carpet far enough up the firewall and the ACC kit isn't meant to go on the tank as well. That and, as one of you said, there is some extra material that needs to be trimmed in order to ...

Txas2step -
Yes, just the carpet. I think that you are correct, it was just the CSS models.
Good idea with eh snaps, thanks!

Did they go into the top seam of the tank, the lip where both sides of the tank come together?
Thanks,

Carpet on gas tank - ACC Kit
Hey all - I've ben trying to fit my ACC carpet and it doesn't help that it hasn't warmed up in these parts yet so the carpet isn't very moldable. I'll try more weight and some more time with he heat gun. What I'm really curious about is how people suggest that you get the carpet to stay vertical on ...

Thank you!
Guessing that a primer is always suggested, even when going over an already prepped painted surface?

Thanks, I should learn how to use a spray gun. I even have a really old one that I never used.
Isn't enamel harder to spray because it's thinner?
Thx!

Quick and cheap (ya right) paint suggestions
Ok - my 66' D200 has 30+ year old paint and I'm fine with that. I don't have the patience now to fully paint it now but I would like to paint the cab roof Dodge White. Considering that perfect and expensive are not what I am going for...what is the best way to tackel this? Sand and hit with a one st...

Old Stem Mirror Suggestions
Hey all - As you can see from the pics below, someone put larger mirrors on my 66' before I owned it. I have the old stock set and need your thoughts on how to attach them and what to do with the newer mirror holes. As the 2nd and 3rd photos show, when the West Coast mirrors were put on the old mirr...

Re: Full tank
Is there any harm in having a vented gas cap and vented tank? My 66'D200 always smells like gas and it appears that someone added a vent in the tank (behind drivers seat) with a rubber tube that goes down thru the floor. Photo below. Would people recommend capping that tank vent and just going with ...
