Power Steering Assist for 1962 D300 Dually
Hello, does anyone know of a company that rebuilds the Power Steering Assist? Mine is a 1962, D300 Dually with the 225 Slant /6. The pump works however, I've removed the belt due to leaking in the Power Assist unit (the unit is behind the front drivers side wheel and has a leak in the back solenoid....

See picture - does anyone know what this is called and who might be able to rebuild? I’ll add the picture tomorrow- it’s a part attachment to th...

Re: Running Boards / Steps?
Just a brief added comment- I bought the truck about 2 years ago and originally thought it didn’t have running boards for that model year and then realized that they were simply missing for whatever reason. Also, if you know what years may be compatible that would help as well

Re: 1970 Dodge Dude camper special
Very nice - Congratulations on the purchase. I agree with others - just drive and enjoy it. I have a 1963 D300 and drive it regularly without issue (I have just under 35k original miles on mine). Great fun to drive and the money you make on a flip will not replace the enjoyment of driving it and all...

Running Boards / Steps?
Hello All,
Does anyone have or know of a source for a pair of Running Boards (called steps I believe?) for a 1963 D300 regular cab truck?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: upholstery
I found a few in my area and picked one in Staunton, VA. My advice - find a few ‘old school’ garages and get there recommendations. This approach has helped my tap into local expertise without the price gauging. I hope this helps.b

Available - 1963 D300 Rear end with leaf springs
Hi All, I’m changing my rear axel and springs to 1990’s and so the existing rear end with leaf springs is available abs in good condition. I’m changing for higher gearing and not for mechanical reasons. I also have two front rims with old tires on them as I upgraded to disc brakes a few months ago. ...

Hi All: about to buy a new rear for my 1963 D300 / slant 6 // four on the floor. Any suggestions on gear ratio would be best. Mainly looking to get a bit more top end. It’s use is house projects - bushes, mulch, firewood, etc.
Thanks in advance. Bill

Re: New to this forum - Thank you
Hi John, Yes, I was lucky - the truck was filthy and filled with junk but after emptying it and deep cleaning - it was all there and in very good shape for 1963. Yes, I did convert the front brakes to the 8-lug disc brakes (purchased from Ram Man in Ohio). I'm not sure what the current gear ratio is...

Re: D-300 Ideas.
Hello Jim: I have a 63 D-300 and am planning to build my own flatbed out of Locust (frame rails, cross-members, and decking) - it's available in my area and at a good cost. I also have most of the prior DIY angle iron brackets. I will probably do this in the next 4-6 weeks and will post pictures. I'...

New to this forum - Thank you
Hello All, Just sharing a few pictures as I'm new to this forum - also, a thank you! as I was able to solve a few issues and find a few helpful links based on prior posts. A brief backstory: -this truck was sitting, since 2014 in front of a local BBQ place (with BBQ on the old wooden flatbed) -when ...
