Re: Getting electricity but no crank and won't start from jumping relay.
In standard shift trucks, the starter relay has to have a good ground through the body of the relay.

IMG_3164 tilt pic.JPG Here is the only pic I had, not great but you can see the tilt lever just above the brake pedal. I had a look under the dash, nothing obviously modified, and the steering whel looks original?? Thanks!! We need to see more pics of this truck! And better pics of the column.

Re: Any data on number of specific trucks built by year?
There is also the sweptline registry.
It documents trucks that are still in existence.
Sadly many, many sweptline trucks have been scrapped since the sixty’s.
Mine is on there.

Re: rear sway bar 1970 sweptline
I would say the frame width is the same. Up until at least the mid eighties.
My 65 w200 has two axles from a 1980 w300 in it and a hitch from a 86 d100.
If I wanted a rear sway bar I would look for a 2wd ramcharger as a donor.

Re: Dodge 2 ton truck
I went and got my second D500, it's a 62 with a 1965 318 poly and has a dump bed. I'll be looking into a hydroboost system for that 70 and if it works out I'll do the same for that 62 and I'll sale the 2 hydrovac boosters for cheap if anyone is interested. Tell us more about the hydro-boost system ...

Does anyone have a good picture of the original hubcaps that would have come on my late 65 w200?
Also what other years they may have come on?

Re: Dodge 2 ton truck
PTO off the 435 trans. Crane is a 1969 Hiab Speedloader. I am no PTO geek. On the truck I am building I have a dual output Braden PTO (output shaft comes out both front and rear) mounted on my NP201. The plan is to run both the winch and the hydraulic pump that runs the dump bed with the same PTO, ...

Re: Pitman Arm Removal - Am I missing a step?
In 60 it worked the same way. I own one. The box is no longer in it but the pitman arm is. Interesting fact. That pitman arm fits on a saginaw box from an early 80 Chevrolet 4x4 box. That’s what steers my 60 now to get power steering.

Re: White hat special
I’m trying to stay away from the trim idea as the truck was born without it. I’m just trying to give the look a little bit more pop. That trim isn’t cheap either. If I was to go the trim route it would be the 62 style that ends at the tip of the swept part. What yr is your truck? Early long beds ar...

This is good info.my5thmopar wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 7:45 pmAny parts store. Gates Thermoplastic Rubber Air Intake Hose - 23832
I looked for this hose years ago to no avail. I ended up using pieces found in a parts truck because I didn’t know this back then.

So I am considering painting the roof on my 65 power wagon. It’s a red truck, the wagon wheels are white and the bumpers are flat black. Questions are, do I go with black on the roof or white. Did dodge ever paint roofs white or black when the truck had small back window, and if so how much of it g...

Re: Hood options
Hello all, My question is regarding a front end swap. I have an opportunity to pickup a 65 front core support and grill assembly to change out a 69 front. I don't have a early hood just a 68 straight bottom lip one. Will the 65. Grill wings interfere with the hood bottom lip? Also how funky is a bi...

I've searched the forums, and the parts people have searched their reference books, and we can't find a seal for the diff on my 61' D100. It's the good ol' 8 3/4". Can anyone point me in the right direction? What are the casting numbers on the center section? 741,389,742 ? The seals are still avail...

When you need a spare you need a spare. It’s easy to get down. The other tire doesn’t matter, just toss it in the bed.
