Re: New cam for 440

If you can check out Engine Masters on Motortrend, they covered it with there motor home 440 on episode "The 440 you can afford" They used a Comp cams (Thumper grind) with 107 lc and 227/241 @.050 duration and a 486/473 lift, Steve Dulchish (spelling) explains it.

I have the spindles off of my 67 d200; getting ready to do the king pins.
I can get the specs on the bolts tonight if that'd help.
Already got them but thanks though.

Re: Best king pin set

Is that a ball bearing set, or stacked washer bearing? I'm about to do mine on my 67 d200, ordered a set by AC Delco a long while back and, while the bushings and ball bearings appear correct, the king pins are thinner than what was there originally, so I'm going to probably be ordering a different...

Big block pan talk

I'm gathering the goodies to install a 413 big block in my '63. I know you should use a motor home front sump oil pan but read you could use a rear sump truck pan? Would the engine be set back or same placement.

Re: Scarebird aluminum hub

So here I am answering my own question. For those that what/need to know the Scarebird hub offsets the wheel out (towards the fender) is 5/16". And if you think for a minute it's just a part change out, sometimes with all the different parts suppliers there will be the need to file or grind here and...

Re: Scarebird aluminum hub

So what ended up doing was clearancing the center hole in the rotor til it fit. That problem solved now on to the next. On trying to install the caliper it wouldn't fit with the inner pad on. Found the opening too small. I guess this is all pretty common no....

Scarebird aluminum hub

Does anyone know if the hub offsets the rotor out farther from the caliper bracket?
