Power Assist Steering

Hello all. I have a 62 D100 SWB /6 3tree. As I get up in age, there are improvements I have planned for the truck: automatic transmission and power steering. I have acquired a 67 D100 frame with a 1977, 318 and 727 auto that were roughly installed. The 67 was a well running and driving truck before ...

Power steering box compatibility?

Hello All.
I have a quick question before it gets away. Will the power steering gear box off a 1966 W200 fit a 1962 D100. I would usually take the time to research the compatibility for myself. But short on time. So I will turn to the experts and ask. Yay or Nay?
Thanx.

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

Hello all. I was watching "The Food that made America" on the History Channel. They were talking about the original drive up restaurants and the "bell hops" or waitresses. And showed a quick flash of a restaurant set up as a prop. Pretty sure there was a Sweptline in the few cars in the shot. They s...

Re: Another turn/brake light question.

Well good news. Woke up this morning to 4" of snow on the ground. (that's not the good news) With not much to do outside due to the snow. I decided to look into the switch again. Pulled the wheel and removed all the blinker parts except the switch due to it is wired in with no disconnect plug. Then ...

Another turn/brake light question.

Hello all. I'm working on my 62 D100 SWB /6 3tree. I'm having intermittent brake light problems accompanied by intermittent blinker problems. I believe I have chased the problem down to the blinker switch causing them both. With the blinker lever up or down to activate turn signals and jingling the ...

Re: lower inner door repair panel

Hello Paul. I also needed repair door panels. I placed my order for a set of inner bottom door panels from Exline in September. I am hoping to hear from them soon. Everything I have ordered from them before is A1+. So worth the wait. I have talked to Kenny at Exline before and he is a supper nice gu...

I am in no way a expert at this stuff, But I will put my 2 ¢ in. (what a time we live in. Things are so expensive they don't even put a " ¢ " key on the key board. But at the same time so easy. I just spent 5 minutes looking for that " ¢ " key on my board BUT found out how to within 10 seconds on Go...

Re: Interior trim.

Hello all. 67step100. If you contact ACC "AutoCustomCarpet" (www.accmats.com) They will send you a small sample of the material. I think you might need to pay a small shipping fee (like $1.50) but worth it. The vinyl is stiff. And goes the full length under the seat to the fuel tank. Will need to re...

Late Model 4X4 springs on a 62 D-100 ?

Quick question. I am looking at the discussions about using late model 4x4 spring on the front of sweptlines for a little lower stance. What do you do about the spring eye? The pictures I am looking at show them backwards. Sweptline front loop down/rear up. And late model springs the opposite front ...

Volksnut.
If you want a rattle can that is close? I found this to be real close.
Will not match side by side or judging at the ConCours.
But it good for sweptline touch ups.
Good Luck.

Clutch n Brake spacers?

Hello All. Just waiting on my shop to heat up and thought I ask a quick curious question. Dose anyone know why the spacer washers on the clutch/brake pivot shaft have a hexagonal hole in the center? (See Attached) And why not just a round hole? The only thing I can think of is maybe to let lube trav...

Clutch n Brake Pivot Bushings.

Hello All. I have a couple of questions. I am pulling my clutch, brake pivot shaft. To clean up and lube to cut down on the squeaking. Before starting to pull it I searched the website to find hints and tips. Like always a good idea before I start a venture. I seen one post mention that the bushings...

Good looking D200 to save.
And sounds like you have the proper mindset to take the recovery and resurrection of this old truck a long way. And if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. These guys are scary smart. Keep us up-to-date.

I also give 2 big thumbs up for Exline. Kenny is great to work with. I asked for a little extra material on my replacements floors to extend past a botched repair from the previous owner. And he knocked it out of the park. I also bought a set of his carpet trim pieces. Very nice. And have his "Lower...

Re: Axle flipped now what

Craig Just curious, When you flipped your axle how much drop did you yield? I too would like my truck a little lower but not to the extremes I've seen. Would like it to still function as a truck. No heavy loads though. I have been pondering the longer shackles and maybe leafs removed. But would like...

Gooood looking set up. I too agree with the larger tire plan.
Did you install lowering springs in the rear also?
If not what did you do to the rear if anything?
Nice Truck Man.
Thanx.

If you don't mind please post some photos when you get er on the ground.
I'm interested in seeing your project with -3" springs installed.
