Re: Joke of the Day
Harry is sitting at the bar and the bar tender says “why such a sad face Harry?”
Harry says “I really pissed my wife off and she’s not talking to me for 30 days”
“We’ll isn’t that a good thing Harry?”
Harry sighed “today is the last day”

Re: Another Road Trip to Montana
Sure could use a few more ponies towing this load. Total GVW is 25,000 lbs. I'm pretty much the slowest rig on the road. 6% grades are about 19mph. 4% about 29 and flat ground about 63.

Re: Another Road Trip to Montana
PWD, good eye catching the two keys. Works great for when I let it run. I simply take the column key so no one can steal it. At lease they can only travel in which ever direction the wheels are pointed. Terry, I'm looking for an extra set fenders and steps incase I ever F these ones up. You have a d...

Another Road Trip to Montana
She's a driver boys! Just ran all day and night at 80mph up I-15 to visit my mom in Montana 1,250 miles. I got between 12-13 mpg running hard. Don't seem to bad since the truck weights 10,600 lbs and is aero dynamic as a brick. Nice having a 38 gallon fuel tank for road trips too. Fill that glove bo...

Re: Making Money with the McMobile
Folks get plenty of time to look at it cuz it ain't very fast when loaded down. But it will fly in double overdrive when empty. It cruises 75 mph at 1,800 rpm. When towing it's a different story, with the travel trailer and razor the GCVW is 25,000 lbs. On the 7% grades it climbs about 19 mph. 4% gr...

Re: Making Money with the McMobile
GWW, the rear end is a '01 F350 Dana 80 with 5:38 gears. GMC Dana 60 upfront. That's why I went with the 10 lug wheels cuz the GMC axle is standard bolt pattern and Ford is metric. The 8-10 lug adapters are how I got the same bolt pattern all around. 66, my mom lives in Seeley Lake, Mt. Very nice up...

Re: Door Weatherstrip
Be very careful with the weather strip glue. That stuff gets everywhere and makes a big mess. My best advice after doing a few trucks is to only put a few inches of glue on the gasket at a time. While using masking tape to hold it down as u go. An extra few hands are very helpful too.

Making Money with the McMobile
Went on a 600 mile hot shot run for another enthusiast to bring back a W300 motorhome for him. I've logged about 11,000 miles on the big yellow power wagon since I got it running last June. Making 2 runs up to Montana sure helped. It's nice having a truck that's a driver :-)

MMorell, thanks for stopping. It's always nice meeting new enthusiasts
Would be bad @#% to extend your crew cab. A little extension behind the rear doors
Just send me your truck with the glove box full of cash and I'll build you a road worthy truck.

I like it but hauling heavy with a SWB can be a handful. Especially with a cross wind.

Couple More Pics. GCVW is about 25,000. The low HP Cummins don't get in any hurry towing the load. On a 7% grade it's about 19mph and 63 on the flat ground. Will haul @#% empty, easily go 70-75

Re: Got a Cool Hood Ornament
Hood ornament was $400. Not 2 cheap! The back half is '01 F350 service truck. Using this F-350 frame really made my life a lot easier. Got rid of the big 6 lug drum brakes, now it has rear disk, sway bar, newer leafs, the big bonus a 38 gallon fuel tank at the rear. Whats nice about the service truc...
