Re: Headers for 1967 D200 now W200 LA318 engine
I used Headman long tube headers on my stock 68 W100. Fit great. I believe the stock number is 79016 but you would need to check it out? I They may not list the sweptline in the application section but they do fit.

Re: Headlight Bezel
Thanks for the pic. I do have the square plastic inserts now however they seem to push the bezel out more than they should? Will keep working on it.

Closing out this thread. Tie Rods installed, they fit great and work. See above measurements and part numbers. Again this is for my 1968 W100 with 3500lb axel and 7" ball joint. May fit other trucks. Check you application.

Re: Fender Pentastar emblem placement
Thanks, the member trucks and knowledge really helps. Looking like it may have been standard at some point then might have been optional from 65-71? Possibly part of a package like Adventurer or Custom? However, not enough information yet to make that determination. Will keep looking at member respo...

Re: Fender Pentastar emblem placement
Yaaaaaa, you think it would have a hole wouldn't ya. I replaced my fenders and the new fender did not have a hole. If I remember correctly, the old fender did not have a hole either? Thus the question did all sweptlines come with these.....?

Fender Pentastar emblem placement
Curious if all 1961-71 trucks came with a pentastar emblem on the passenger side fender? I have seen some with them and some without (maybe they were an option or just fell off)? If you do have the emblem, can you help me out with placement on fender? A pic with measurement would be great. Thank you.

Re: W100 / W200 Tie Rod End
Here is an image of the old and new tie rod. New on top, 3/4 inch rod, 16 threads per inch, right hand thread on drivers side, left hand thread on passenger side. Should have time later this week to put everything back together and give an update on fitment.

Re: W100 / W200 Tie Rod End
Success, thanks to the guys at NAPA that spent over an hour today looking through parts catalogs for me. Turns out that the tie rods listed for W100 with large 3500lb axel and 7" ball up to 69 are for the most part discontinued. Found ones that work for my 68 W100 with 3500lb axel listed as a replac...

Re: W100 / W200 Tie Rod End
Dana 44, 3500lb axle with 7" ball. Tie rod is 3/4" fine thread. Not a very good picture but I may be able to get more soon.

Re: W100 / W200 Tie Rod End
Update. I just disassemble the steering center link and both tie rod ends. The driver side is right hand thread and the passenger side is left hand thread. The big surprise however is that the male tie rod end measures 3/4". From the research I have done this is bigger than the standard W100 / W200 ...

W100 / W200 Tie Rod End
Ok, I have seen lots of post and replies on tie rod ends but nothing specific to my truck (at least that I ran across). I have a 1968 W100 with 3500lb Dana 44 axel. I think this is the same axel and steering link as the W200. I need both the right hand and left hand rod ends. Some parts I have found...

Re: 1968 Adventurer Package
Yes, that's what I needed verification on. Thank you! So now the hard part. Where might I find a set of 1968 Adventurer emblems? The middle pic from Jims68 are the ones I need. I believe the original parts number from Chrysler is 1954350. I am also checking on the 60's A100 vans as that emblem looks...

Drive Shaft
Curious, what is factory 1968 W100 drive shaft diameter and what does it look like? I have a 1968 W100 with SERT upgraded axels. SERT says - heavy-duty non-standard axle, 3500lb front axle (Dana 44), possibly 1-ton U-joints and yokes? Rear Axle – Dana 60 (06221). However, my drive shaft looks very s...

1968 Adventurer Package
Looking for information on the 1968 Adventurer package. I believe it was offered in both D and W series trucks in 1968. However, like other parts on the 68 some of the equipment is specific only to the 1968 model year (1 year only) before they changed over to the 69 with different hood, hood latch, ...

Re: Data Plate and Differentials
Update - Eric Bannerman was able to help me out. Eric has a wealth of of information on SERT numbers. Thank you Eric! Apparently my W100 was ordered with upgraded axels [SERT code (04542) is a the number for a heavy-duty non-standard axle]. Most likely a 3500lb front axle (Dana 44), 1 Ton U-joints a...

Re: Data Plate and Differentials
Hummmmm. Not looking good to find out what those numbers equate to? I thought I ran across a mention of a business that you could send in your data plate info and they would decode it for you. Maybe like a Galen Grovier tag service for Sweptlines? I have had the front diff cover off and it did not l...

So, where would one look up those numbers to see what the "SPEC" axel is?
