NP 435 Troubles
Howdy, over the winter I swapped my "64 poly d~100 420 to a 435. Had it gone thru/ rebuilt by a tranny shop, and the 3~4 shift is awful!! Seems to be sticking in 3rd gear!?! 1st 2nd 4th and reverse seem fine but does not want to come out of third. It slides in ok and when I let out the clutch in 3rd...

make sure all the oil galley plugs are in the block... my machine shop left one out and I had no oil to either rocker bank on my 318 poly...

different style parking brake brackets 420 is the clean one 435 is the dirty one

Howdy, just throwing this out there in case it can help someone down the line... I am in the middle of swapping my 420 to a 435 with the parking brake on the trans. I believe the 435 is out of a 1965 D~100 and there are a few differences that I was not expecting. Overall the 435 is roughly 1" longer...

Howdy, I'm no Holley expert so don't listen to me... I would start with a vacuum gauge and hope to see 17~20 "inches of vacuume". so I got a little more info, the tranny I found is out of a 1 1/2 ton 65 d~400 so I am assuming it has the larger input shaft and uj yokes. Wondering the cutoff for the smaller input shaft did they beef it up @ 1~ton? part number is C-96041

Howdy, Starting the tear down on my ~64 d~100 318 Poly NP 420 trans...
Looking into headers, and wondering if anyone has installed TTI Poly headers with success?

I bought 2 light weight mini mopar starter's and only one bolt hole ligned up the other was an inch too short.... Then wally said "That company/person makes a housing that adapts the starter body to our bell housing" so it sounded to me like mini starter + an adaptor = works ...... ?/? sorry if I'm ...
