Truck style photo.

Hello All. Does anyone have a high quality collage photo file showing all the grills and headlight styles for the 61 thru 80s dodge pickups with there explanation? I seen a photo of that years ago and always wanted to have a poster made for display. My friends are not Dodge pickup enthusiast and alw...

Automatic years

Question. What year did sweptlines come with automatic transmission and column shift. Not interested in a dash selector. Kicking around the idea of going to a automatic transmission in my 62, swb, slant, 3 tree.
Thanx.

Re: 68 utiline

Thanx Hammer. Sounds like you did a great job on yours. I am hoping for the same outcome. My truck is out getting new floors in it right now. Going to attack the cowls when it gets back. I'm kinda doing it backwards but the truck sits inside from the weather so new floors will be ok till I get the c...

Re: 68 utiline

Sledgehammer. I am looking at one of your post from Sept 2016. You used POR-15 epoxy putty on your 68s rusted cowl. I also have the common problem with rusted out cowl at the fire wall. How did the POR-15 putty fix hold up over the time scene you did it? Would you do anything different? Thanx Man. BT.

Custom Cab

Hello All. I am the owner of a 1962 D100 SWB Custom Cab. I have a curious question. What makes it a "Custom Cab" It is about as generic as it can be. Don't get me wrong. That is the way I like it. No Frills,No Thrills. Just COOOL! The only special option is the large rear window. No radio, no nothin...

Re: Front axle?

My front axle is not damaged or missing. It is fine. Wanting to lower the truck this winter. I have acquired another 8.75 rear axle with the spring perches already fliped. Wanting to send the front axle to Sids to have them do their magic and lower the front axle to match the rear flopped. I have re...

Front axle?

I have a chance to pick up a 65 D200 front axle with spindles only. No springs, brakes ect. Question is will it fit under my 62 D100? Will the 62 100s brakes, berings, steering linkage and stuff match up to the 65 200? Seems like the spindles might be a little heavier-duty so stuff might not match. ...

Silly question "Drawing vs. Truck"

Hello. I am working on a 62 sweptline D100 custom. I want to start to fix some lighting issues. I am studying the schematics and I do not see a blinker relay or a fuse block. None on the truck eather. Is the blinker relay built into the switch or what? Another odd thing between the truck and the dra...

Re: Rear axle.

So I'm gathering that is a no for exploded view. The rear end overall is in very good shape. Brake shoes, brake drums all in excellent shape just wanted to replace the seals, I'm not setting up the truck to run the Daytona 500. Re: Shock studs / nut splitter

Did you ever find a source for replacement studs.
Or does anyone else have a source.
The 62 SWB I acquired has no upper rear studs at all so I have nothing to compare to.
Thanx.

Rear axle.

Does anyone have a exploded view of a pre 1965 tapered axle 8.75" 741 case with axle bearing views. I have a 62 D100 SWB. I want to replace the pinion and axel seals and want to see what I'm getting into. If anyone has any suggestions or tips to help in this process it would be greatly appreciated. ...

Re: True identification.

Thanx Soopernant. The truck does have white gauges. But that might have been the look they were going for. (they do look good) It does indeed have amber lenses. And unfortunately the rear end is not original . The e-brake is on the rear of the manual transmission. I believe I seen some early sweptli...

True identification.

Hello First time user. I am currently working on a 62 sweptline short bed and like most everything else in my life things are getting weird. I'm from NE Ohio so not too many nice Dodgers around here (NONE). So I had one shipped in from the West Coast. Seemed to be what was explained through the sale...
