Re: Steering Column rebuild and Turn Signal Switch replacement

I know the struggle, lol! I purchased a parts manual, and service manual that are both new reprints but you will find them listed for sale used on places like eBay.

Re: 1969 w100 steering angle adjustment

my 71w has a very similar steering set up as what is seen on the 72' dodge truck w models. while the frame is straighter, the 72 were arched, and still had the cast iron box bracket. my 71 has a part of angle welded to the top of the frame so the top bracket bolt gives bracket with box at that angle...

Re: NP 435 Rebuild Parts

H.R Clutches seems to be another popular choice. www.hrclutch.com . I also found a good inspection video on YouTube by Southpaw Autoworks titled NP435-Inspection, where they are showing a np435 used in a Ford,...pretty cool stuff. I"m planning for the same stuff with my np435 as well. Good luck!

Re: What do you do with your sweptline today?

Well, my current project with my 1971 w sweptline is removing the flat black primer paint from the firewall and engine bay that the previous owner got carried away with. Under this, the original 70's gold color paint is revealed, and is looking much better. I spent 4,300 on it this year on engine wo...

Re: Replacement Raidiator Sources

Thank you for the reply. I haven't been to do my homework on this yet, but I will be soon. More than likely I will be driving out to summit racing since it's close to home. I don't want to run my old rad through my new rebuild 318 ! Picts to come,...

Re: Replacement Raidiator Sources

Thanks nuts. Wondering if there is more cooling capacity with a big block radiator I've seen advertised as,.... I definitely want to equip with any extra cooling I can while driving coast to coast, or in the western heat, mountain logging roads, ... . I'm gonna go pull the info I.d on mine now.

Re: Replacement Raidiator Sources

Hello folks! Looking for a replacement radiator for my 1971 W100 . I'd like to stay away from the cheep knock off crap. Where do you recommend me trying? Thanks!! Did you look into getting your original radiator re-cored? John I had a 4 core rebuilt for my 73 gmc 1 ton years ago. My current rad rea...

Re: Replacement Raidiator Sources

I bought a radiator from Classicindustries.com, they sell a brand called U.S. Radiators. I haven’t installed it yet, as I’m not that far along in my project, but I took it out of the box and checked it over. I had read a lot about aftermarket radiators being flimsy and twisty, and this one seemed v...

I have a guy who is coming buy this summer, he has a 70 w 100 with the same trans that I currently have. If I can, I'll have this one out of a 84 ramcharger completely rebuilt since it's not broke, lol!

Re: Gas Tank Replace or Relocation

Yes, those be the tanks! Mine were hung straight through the bed sheet steel and not through the bed rails you might think. I'm going to look at GM 1973 1 ton model trucks and hang off the frame .

Re: Gas Tank Replace or Relocation

Back when gas was always .10 cents difference between 3 grades of octane. I know I would have done what alot of folks done here installing a tank between the frame rails . My 79 f150 had a tank in that area as well.

Re: Gas Tank Replace or Relocation

I have twin tanks outside the frame, this was a dealer instalation. Right now I have them both being reproduced. Really nice custom fit probably the best way I seen yet. Can't find the original manufacturer of my auxiliary tanks . Once I get my new tanks back I might offer the old for sale .

I have every single part needed for that here, including drive shaft, clutch Z bar, pivots, steering column and tunnel cover. But its a long road trip to CA!
Lol that is a hike! I'd be better to pay for shipping, which I could do.
