Re: Jim Megee's DODGE SWEPTLINE RESTORATION CD!!

Received Jim’s restoration download this morning. Spent half the day glued to it. He takes the time to explane to you what he’s doing, and why...with many pics and pointers. Really helpful. Am going to enjoy using it while working on my 67. Thanks Jim👍

Re: New member

Sorry about that, sometimes it doesn’t send two at the same time, That area where it turns up is for the RIGHT HAND drive steering box. SEE your left side and it has the same turn up area. Your frame IS a Sweptline DODGE frame. Here is a picture of my frame and you can see the FLIP UP area. OH... a...

Re: New member

If that is a part number that "can't be found" in a book, it makes me wonder if it was a "Special Order" Frame or something like that? :thinking Do you recognize this part of the frame? Red arrow going to it. It turns up a bit, and on left side of frame too. Maybe you or somebody could tell by it, ...

A parts number would have 7 digits. I'm surprised the numbers don't match, 2509230 vs. 2509235.
Yea, it’s strange. I searched around over the rear axles too, like Kim suggested. (maybe from Canada)

Re: New member

The only other numbers I found were under the driver’s door, a foot away from the first set. And they were very small, and only 7 digits, not ten. 2 5 0 9 2 3 5.........missing the F14 at the end that the first set had.

Re: New member

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. I didn’t work on it today, but will soon. If I can’t find anything on the rest of the frame (over the rear axles) i’ll check under the shock mounts.

Re: New member

Ya, that's CLEAR! No doubt about it. It is not a sweptline era vin so the mystery remains. Maybe a part #? Is it possible it is not a swepty frame? (Per the decoder, if it were a vin, it would be a 2 ton 4x4 truck with a zero cylinder engine.) I found what looks like the number 2 on right side, by ...

:welcome Welcome to the wonderful world of everything Sweptline!!! I THINK....I may have figured out how to post a pic. Re-grinded on the frame last night, the pic is from the DRIVER’S side, under the door. The letter F seems to be clear, but puzzling since you say there shouldn’t be any letters in...

Re: New member

The frame number I found on the drivers side, below the door. That was after wire wheeling the passenger side first, from the front to the back of cab area. Then I did the same to the drivers side. It’s the only numbers I found. Normally, VIN number is stamped on the frame's right side.... up in th...
