Re: vent knob removal
The nut on the back side is 1/2" or 7/16........a small 90 degree open end should do the trick. :thinking Pretty sure you can reach it if you remove the glove box liner. :Thumbsup I actually have the dash hanging so that isn't an issue, I can get to the back of everything. But unhooking the cable f...

Re: vent knob removal
There is a guy on ebay that is selling the cables. The knobs have a collar in them with a set screw to make installation or replacement easy. He sells the knobs separate as well. At $25 a pop for just the knob, its hard to swallow. I'm going to experiment with making a simple removal tool that I hav...

Re: vent knob removal
maaaaaaan. I was really hoping I didn't have to do that. Getting to the vent on the passenger side is such a pain. Looks like I will have to pull the whole heater unit. I mean I was going to do all that anyway, but I just wanted to do it a little at a time. The screw that clamps the cable in on the ...

I'm removing my dash and the left and right vent cables and knobs are whats holding me up. I can't for the life of me seem to get the knobs off. I didn't hav...

Re: 67 318 sweptline header recommendations
If those Hedmans will definitely fit, I wouldn't mind spending the extra cash, if they were a better way to go. The price is about the high end of what I want to spend.

67 318 sweptline header recommendations
Hello everyone. I have a 1967 dodge sweptline shortbox with a 3 on the tree. The 318 motor is a 1974 and I will be putting on a set of 302 castiing heads off of an 87 W150 and am looking for header recommendations . I'm not really sure what will work on these trucks. I'm not scared of a little fab w...

Re: Rear leaf spring question
Thanks Txas2step!! That is probably alright to run for me, since I want it a bit lower and I don't plan on hauling anything with this truck. Hopefully that thought process is a good one! haha

Rear leaf spring question
Hey everyone. I posted in the general forum but haven't gotten any replies, so I figured I'd try here too. I'm tearing down the rear of my 67 sweptline to do some frame paint and suspension work. I was wondering how many leafs I should expect to have in the rear leaf spring pack. I think someone at ...

Rear leaf spring pack
Hey everyone. I'm tearing down the rear of my 67 sweptline to do some frame paint and suspension work. I was wondering how many leafs I should expect to have in the rear leaf spring pack. I think someone at one time tried to do some lowering, but I'm not sure if the rear end had been messed with. I ...

Hello every one. New to the forum here, glad to be a part of it. I just recently bought a 1967 Dodge D100 Sweptline short box with a 318 and 3 on the tree. I'm going through it and doing a bunch of stuff. One thing that I have been trying to get my head around is the front leaf springs. I know its a...
