Re: 65 D100 Driver door hinge repair

I rebuilt a set of hinges and I believe a z sized bit was used on the arm, but used a bit that was bushing sized.
I used Dorman #38400-1 pin and 4 bushings for each hinge.

fuel filter

Working on the cab last night and pulled the tank. Didn't know there was a fuel filter up beside the passenger side window.Parts catalogs and diagrams do not list a replacement. I would assume it hasn't been changed in at least 20 years. Maybe that is why I have what feels like a high speed miss eve...

This it? Same problem I had with my '71 with the 318 and 727 trans. 1972-78 Dodge motorhome rear trans mount. 8" overall, 4" center between inner holes and 7" center between outer holes. Replaces Mopar part# 3632984. Currently on ebay for $75.

Re: Radiator options 1968 d200 with 318

This is the factory setup. I thought for sure with the new aluminum radiator and no shroud it would run hotter. But it actually runs cooler. Temp gauge barely gets 1/4 way.

Re: Radiator options 1968 d200 with 318

1971 aluminum replacement parts store radiator (CU889) 1971 D100 318..had to take the fan blade spacer out and not use the factory shroud, shortened the bottom hose and used a flexi top hose. Runs at 180, even in the summertime.I’ll get the original re-cored eventually. 82B44836-2BD5-443B-9AE1-9C739...

Re: Transmission mount

Flat and looks like a rubber brick on a piece of flat steal with 2 holes going up thru for trans and 2 down thru on ends for crossmember? (or could be other way). I think I found mine by looking up a Dodge motorhome and even then its was NOS MOPAR and from Ebay. I have the part# at home for it somew...

Re: 1968 D100 aftermarket brake drums

I went back through this thread and no where that I could see does it mention front drums or rear drums? Rear drums are available through regular parts stores. My front drums are not available in the aftermarket. They are the 11 x 2.25 and are finned and original.A 1971 Dodge 2wd d100 with a 318. Ro...

Re: 1968 D100 aftermarket brake drums

May fit non finned only. I always thought the straight axle D100 series drums were all the same from '66-71 or maybe '68 -71.
My '71 D100 has the huge finned drums...11 x 2.25 shoe which is the same for '68 and '71 with a 318.

Re: Tie Rod Help PLEASE!

Rockauto lists the left side as Dorman #532242 with only 5 available @ $28.79. Rare parts also has one available. Part# 25240.
Around $85 for that one.

Re: My 1971 D100

Nice truck - I'm not too far south of you. Keep her out of the salt when you can and give it a good power wash underneath after winter. I opt not to drive during salty times... She's been a daily driver the past 2 years. I think its a little too late to wash underneath. The floors are already gone,...

Re: My 1971 D100

looks great! a good used radiator shouldn't be hard to find. I recored a slant 6 radiator for one of my d300s and it was only 200 or so. I spent a few years in a radiator shop and the brass and copper radiators are much more durable and have a higher capacity to dissipate heat. aluminum will dissip...

Re: My 1971 D100

Yeah....you are right, thanks! Still a great axle, as long as you remember to grease the axle bearings.I really like these pics. When I bought her over 12 years ago, she only had about 40000 miles on her. Now she's pushing 80000 miles and the northern climate is getting the best of her with all the s...

My 1971 D100

Been a member for a while and finally decided to put my Sweppy up! Had her for over 14 years. She's hauled just about everything from drywall to the yearly mulch for the flower beds. What a great truck! Has all of Mopar's best. 318-727-Dana 60 with 3.23's. Will post about installing one of the new p...
