Re: Crew cab rear door/B pillar sagging.

I would inspect the body mounts and make sure they are all good. If anything in a body mount is compressed or sagging, it will cause the cab to twist, throwing off the door alignment.

Re: Project 71 Crewcab w 440 PS PB

That looks like a really nice truck, Law fish. Where is it from? Funny, you and I are both jumping on these crew cab projects at the same time. I'm not sure if the cc seat is different or not. If you do end up needing one, there is a guy in Montana who has a set. BTW, I remember you from moparts.com.

Thanks. Once I get started on it, I'll do a build thread. This is the goal:

Ebay score: 67 crew cab long bed camper special

I just scored this awesome Arizona crew cab! I'm really enthused about it. It's going to be a camper hauler/race trailer puller. Cummins, maybe dually. I will go with a dana 80 dually if I can figure out a way to add dually fenders without killing the super cool sweptline styling. If I can't figure ...

Re: Came home empty handed from Coker Tire

Check out 215-85r16 or 205-80r16.

They are approx 1.5" narrower than your 245-70r16's. Same diameter.

I saw that shift pattern on the truck when it was advertised on Craigslist. I was wondering if that is for real, or is that a gag?

Re: '69 W200 4 Door - Cummins Swap?

Sounds like a great project, but are you aware that the Cummins n14 is a 14 liter semi truck engine? It weighs 2800 pounds and is 5 ft long. This is not the same engine as the pickup trucks use.
The B series Cummins used in the pickup trucks is 5.9 liters, weighs 1100 lb, and is 40 inches long.

Re: wont start after tune up

Spark at the coil, points and plug wires ,have fuel. Your original post says you have spark at the coil, and it is unclear if you have spark at the plugs, or if you are saying that you have new points plugs. If you have spark at the coil, why are you checking voltage? I want to help, but need more ...

Re: wont start after tune up

Did you set the point gap and check the timing? Make sure that the rotor is pointing to the #1 terminal on the cap when the motor is at tdc on the compression stroke. Not on the exhaust stroke. Remove the #1 spark plug, turn the motor with a wrench or by the fan as you hold your thumb over the spark...

Re: Sweptline frame strength?

Is anyone here good enough with math and engineering to calculate the section modulus of the frames who's dimensions have been provided here? And figure out what it would be if the frame was boxed with the same thickness material? THanks,

Joel

Re: Sweptline frame strength?

I measured my D200 Crew Cab, right between the rear of the cab and the front of the bed. .250" thick steel, 2.40" wide, 6" tall. I don't know if a standard cab is different. When It quits raining and dries out a little, I'll measure my D200 reg cab and my D300 reg cab. I just measured my D200 and D...

Re: Loss of power slant six

I would put a tee in the fuel line right by the carburetor and run a hose to a temporary fuel pressure gauge. Drive it and see what the fuel pressure does at the time that the unwanted symptoms occur. You can run the fuel line out from under the hood and duct tape the gauge to the outside of the win...

1971 Crew cab on ebay

I just wanted to give you people a heads up, this is not my truck for sale and I have no financial interest in it.The guy that I bought my 68 project crew cab from in Montana now has a 71 crew cab on eBay. He seemed to be a straight shooter. I would trust whatever he tells you about the truck. He al...

I have a d 200 frame and a dial Caliper. I could measure it very accurately. Does anybody have a D100 that they can do the same so that we can get to the bottom of this?
