Congrats
That's a sweet truck to start off with, I've always liked Trey's short bed.

Re: Adding Wash, Wipe, Mist, Delayed Wipe to a Sweptline
Awesome write up. I may do this one day. I did get my wipers unfrozen recently, misting and delay would be a nice addition.

Re: Swapped Wheels....
So I ran across this post. I am in need of the spring loaded internal piece that when you push on the center cap or ring, it engages to complete the circuit. Mine is all busted and cracked. I tried gluing back pieces but they keep braking. Any idea where I would get the spring loaded plastic piece ...

Re: 69 Fuel Gauge
How's corrosion/rust where the new sending unit attaches on the tank? I had a similar problem. I'd bought a tested used sender
but it was a bit rusty there as was my lock ring. I removed them all and cleaned them up with a wire wheel on my drill down to
clean bare metal and it finally all worked.

I was looking at the photos thinking that looks a lot like Burbank, CA not OK.... then realized it was my wife's friends house who's married to Kurt lol.
I would have bought it 3 years ago if I knew it was for sale!

What is the technique for stapeling through metal?/? never done that before... I just ordered the flap... I imagine re~use the existing holes, then fold the staples over by hand pliers hammer? Thx ~d That's exactly how I did it. They include a drill bit to drill the stock holes out a little for the...

Re: Installed a new radio
thanks for link to the speaker outifit. didnt know you could get such a set up. I didn't know either until I started looking into stereos. I wasn't wanting to cut holes in doors or anything. Once I saw them and realized I could mount it in the dash speaker hole it sold me on getting an inexpensive ...

Re: Installed a new radio
The lighter in the dash like that was factory stock in those yrs. Not aftermarket, nor dealer installed. Good to know, thanks. The knob matches the rest of the dash knobs and it runs off the fuse block so that makes sense. I'm assuming mine is a later 64' build because I have the factory fuse block.

Re: Installed a new radio
Did you just put in ONE speaker??? Or did you install a 2nd speaker behind the seat? Good Job! It's a dual coil speaker so it takes both left and right and give you stereo sound in a single speaker. They're made for older cars with the single hole in the dash. https://www.crutchfield.com/g_356550/V...
