Re: New User from Germany

Welcome from Germany to Germany - which area you're from?
I am mopar only, as well (both '69 Charger and A100) - we might have had contact at the mopar-forum.de? Or maybe you'll also try dodge-trucks.de - lots of knowledgeable people over there as well as here

Re: Neutral switch wiring

Hard to say, i don't know the hot rod wiring set. But usually, the NSS is wired as follows: ignition-start position (orange or yellow?) is wired from starter switch to starter relay. Ground side of the starter relay is wired to NSS. NSS provides ground to the starter relay only, if gear is in N or P.

Re: Fuel Gauge and Temp Gauge not working

The output of your newly made voltage limiter needs to be hooked up on the other side of the fuel gauge - not the 12v in (formerly connected), but the side which is also connected to the temp gauge.

With 5V fed to the 12V-input, your gauges will not show anything.

Re: Fuel Gauge and Temp Gauge not working

I have just upgraded the 5v limiter to electronic. I disconnected the 12V feed to the fuel gauge completely. That's going to the electronic now, no connection on the fuel gauge. The connector to the temp gauge now has the output of the electronic limiter connected as well. The electronic limiter is ...

Re: Electronic Ignition conversion issues

Did you measure Coil + while starting? Maybe some wiring got "wrong" in terms of 12V to the coil while engaging the starter.
Or, in other words - did you re-wire the wires from bulkhead to coil & ballast resistor (only these couple of wires) different than before?

Re: Amp meter removal

My opinion is that the Ammeter by itself is not a problem, as long as the studs have good connection to the mechanic inside the instrument. If I was about to remove it, I would definitely add a Voltmeter (make sure that the connection of those studs are very well isolated, as the carry a lot of Amps...

New from Germany

Hi folks, after enjoying my '69 Charger for over 5 years and having upgraded the technicals (ignition, carb, electricals, some mechanicals) to a very strong car I felt it is time to start a new project. During our vacation in the US in May/June this year (4 days NY, 3 days SFO, 2 weeks with an RV do...
