So here is what I interpret to be the date info on my block. Its on the opposite side from the casting number (passenger side). I don't see anything on there separating the date like MM-DD-YY, so am I correct thinking the numbers indicate 04-28-1967? It also looks like the "D" and "N" are substitute...

Thanks for the reply. So my block has a date code of 04287. I assume that stands for April 28, 1967 Considering the casting number corresponds to a block from 67-74. Obviously the 318 stands for the engine displacement but I'm still a little confused on the 4 on the end, or in your case the -6. I've...

I was looking at the casting number on my 1967 d200 to make sure everything checked out and found the number to be 2536030-318-4. I cant seem to find any information on what the -4 means. Anybody here have any ideas???
