Hey there,
Was wondering if anyone knew the general overall height (factory spec) of a 71 Dodge D100? Mine is in storage so I can’t run out and measure quick.
Thanks, Bobby

Hey thanks a lot MadMC63! Appreciate the info and advice. Yeah I have a guy and he's right in the middle of that pricing you sent.

71 Swept Bench Seat
Hey there, I did a search and didn't see anything that stood out, but I'm planning on taking out my bench seat to have it redone and wondering if anyone has done this and if you have any tips or suggestions. The truck is in storage so I can't look at it myself and just want to know what to bring and...

Re: 3 speed to 4 speed
Well the trans I have in there now which I believe is original revs high in 3rd and doesn't like downshifting until almost stopped. Clutch seems to be getting worse too - so I'm thinking on making the switch.

Re: 3 speed to 4 speed
This is what I was told it had for gears.
Overdrive (mid-1970s and newer). gears below.
1st 3.09
2nd 1.67
3rd 1.00
4th 0.73
I think the 8 7 85 is the 10000 day calendar number.
Basically wanna know if anyone has made this switch and what I should expect. Thanks again!

3 speed to 4 speed
Hey there, Was wondering if anyone could help me identify this trans. Or what it was out of. Truck was a 3 on tree. Someone switched it to 3 on the floor. This 4speed was included with purchase - and thinking about swapping it out. Any help/advice would be helpful. I know I'll need to shorten drives...

Re: Reverse lights not working
Right. So I need to find those reverse wires and wire them to the reverse switch on the new trans?

Reverse lights not working
Hey there,
Have a 71 Dodge D100. When purchased it had the 3 on the tree removed and a 3 speed on the floor put in. I fixed the speedometer not working issue, but don't have reverse lights. Is there something "buried" in the steering column that needs to be jury rigged - or? Thanks in advance.

Re: 3 on tree to 4 speed on floor
Yeah I was guessing that was the case. It has a 3 speed in it now - but the speedo cable doesn't fit through opening and I have a 4 speed that came with sale - so want to try that. Needs new clutch and flywheel too.

3 on tree to 4 speed on floor
Hey there,
My 71 Dodge D100 was born a 3 on the tree, but someone put in a 3 speed on the floor. They did a horrific job cutting the hole for the shifter - is there a more "normal/correct" way or thing that I could do to make it more of a factory look?
4 speed tunnel cover? Or? Thanks everyone!

Hi there!
Need some help determining my 71 Dodge D100 paint color/code. I think it's Medium Green or Medium Turquoise, but would love to hear what you think/know.
Thanks in advance!

Engine pic
Hey there!
Does anyone have a pic of what the engine/engine bay looked like from factory for a 1971 Dodge D100? And getting picky - with the leaning tower of power engine if possible.
Thanks in advance!

Emblem HELP
Hey there, new to this site and excited to tap into some of your knowledge. I just purchased a 71 D100 - a "former" govt truck and it has a fender emblem as seen below. I cannot seem to find anything online about them. Figured I'd ask some professionals :-) Basically I'm looking for two things - any...
