68 w200 wheel studs
So I was replacing leaky wheel cylinders on the PW, started on passenger side. Took a while but got it figured out. Having to pull axle to do a brake job is a new one on me. New shoes and hardware as well. Went to do the drivers side and learned the hard way they are left hand thread. Yes I broke a ...

Finally took some photos
Got around to taking some pics of the 68 I picked up a few weeks back. Had the resolution cranked way down so they would upload, so hope they're not too blurry. I'm enjoying the truck so far, fixing little things here and there and just driving it.

Re: What kind of clutch do I need?
I was told that the 440 came from an RV. Apparently the tranny is not original to the truck if it was built in 65. I suppose the best thing is to pull the tranny and see what I'm dealing with (like you said). The truck has a lot of custom fabricated stuff on it, so who knows what's inside. Thanks.

I don't know if tranny or bell housing is original. Does this help?

What kind of clutch do I need?
Hello, I have a 68 W200 with a 1977 440 and np435 4spd I picked up a few weeks ago. It runs and drives but the clutch slips if you mash the gas in 4th. AFAIK the hydraulic clutches are not adjustable, but if I'm wrong, how is this done? If I'm right then I need a new clutch. Searched and I think I n...

Re: No brake lights
New switch came today. Installed and brake lights worked but no turn signals. Aaaaahhhhrrrggghhh! 30 seconds later I remembered turn signals don't work with ignition off. All is good now!

Re: No brake lights
I jumped the w-shaped wire to the brass contact buttons and got the brake lights to work! At least now I know I just need a new blinker switch assembly. Couldn't have done it without the wiring diagrams and other threads on this forum, thanks!

Re: No brake lights
Looks like brass contact buttons are worn down and not making contact with W-shaped wire. Gonna jump them and see what happens.

Re: 68 W200 fuse clips and steering wheel removal.
Pedal switch is good. Getting power up into turn signal, the brass contact buttons are pretty worn inside the signal switch. Thinking I need a new signal switch.

No brake lights
Hello, 68 w200 with a steering column out of a van or rv or something. Taillights, blinkers, and hazards work but no brake lights. Pedal switch good, took apart steering wheel and turn switch, don't see the problem. Any insight?

Re: 68 W200 fuse clips and steering wheel removal.
So do you guys think the problem (no brake lights) is inside the turn signal plastic piece that doesn't come apart?

Re: 68 W200 fuse clips and steering wheel removal.
The hazard switch on the column is not being used, the original on the left side of dash works. Turn signals work and I'm getting continuity from brake pedal switch through the unused hazard switch to the white wire where it goes into signal side. Not sure how turn signals can work and not brake lig...
